2.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
Bottle. Pours hazy yellow with a HUGE, too big, white head that diminishes much too slowly but leaves excellent lacing. Body is light to watery, carbonation is fizzy at first but diminishes to soft after the head is gone, oily to thin texture, lightly bitter and lightly sweet taste. Not big on flavor-reminds me of all too many mainstream American beers. This beer is kind of limp.

2.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
12oz bottle via secret santa pours a hazy golden with a small white head and some yeast floaters. Aroma of citrus and grassy hops, with pilsner malt and yeast. Nothing really stands out in the taste here, bland. Bottled 7/13/13 not the freshest bottle.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle from Champanes,
this lager had a gold pour that was a little hazy and presented a white cover that was more than a fingers worth, it left nice spots and rings of lacing on the sides of the glass,
the aromas had nice malt with faint bread notes, grass hops and faint lemon citrus, there was very faint powdered sugar sweetness in the background,
it had flavors of pilsner like malt, bread and grass hops, and there was a touch of lemon,
the finish had a good bitterness and was a little grainy, there was little to no sweetness,
probably more bitterness than your typical pilsner,
the mouth feel had some creaminess, it was light and had average carbonation
a lager with more hops than your typical pilsner, it was a nice drink but a little too expensive when there are other great pilsners available at a much better price.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle. Pours a cloudy gold color with a small fizzy head that quickly fades to a ring. Aroma is a mix of sweet cereal grain, skunk, and flowers. Taste is very hoppy and a bit harsh. Huge floral, herbal, and spicy hops, some light fruitiness. Finish is very dry and very bitter. Interesting pilsner but kinda hard to drink.

On tap at 28 Springs thanks to Casey. Pours a straw yellow with some haze. Two fingers of head. Some corn. Slightly grassy. Very nice beer and not a big fan of the style.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 15/20
BeerAdvent Day 23. Santa’s gnomes are coming! Pours hazy straw with white head. Nose is extreme floral with some lemon and pils malt. Flavour is floral, hay, pils malt, great crisp finish. Occasionally a great light lager comes along, this is one of them. Loved it.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Lasting creamy white head atop a clouded, sediment filled gold body. Nose of weed, citrus, fruit, phenolic and cardboard. Decent hop front, not terribly traditional - but hey, this is Evil Twin Brewing. Good bitterness yet not clean. Some spiciness. Okay.

Lots of power and presence for what is a subtle style. Far from OTT at 5%, the flavours are classic but more in your face than what is typical. Concentrated herbs and grass, almost bitter, and a sweetness that is probably hop-derived. Plays bigger than it is.
