3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle at home. Pour is hazy yellow with a big white head and great lacing. Crackery, straw, somewhat grassy, chalky, doughy, and minerally aroma. Taste is semi-sweet up front, with touches of grain, straw, sweet corn, and chalk through the middle ending with a medium grassy bitter finish. Medium mouthfeel with crisp carbonation. Pretty easy-drinking, zippy and crisp - tasty pils.

3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
bottle from ølbutikken. Acc. to label, brewed for Evil Twin at Westbrook (not fanø).Clear yellow, small smooth white head. bitterhoppy, aroma, dry, faint notes of oranges and exotic fruits as it warms up. Flavor is malty, exotic fruity and slightly hoppy bitter - a bit too cloyingly sweet to be a nice pilsener.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
12 oz bottle into a pint glass.
A: Pours a cloudy golden color. The head is a two finger white shade. Texturing is more frothy than creamy, with a floater in the middle suggesting a good hop profile. Plenty of lacing is left on the glass, too, also suggesting a good hop profile.
S: This seems to be loaded with a few ’Merican hops, which is a welcoming presence. They provide notes of grapefruit, apricot, and grass. There also seems to be a vegetal note hidden in there that I don’t like too much - evoking green bell peppers. Otherwise, solid.
T: It takes a bit of time for the hop profile (and the welcoming bitterness) to hit the palate, but when it does, it introduces notes of apricot, pine, grapefruit, and maybe some nettle. Not much malt presence - a good thing. Only the vegetal hints of bell pepper keep this from being great.
M: This has a crisp bite to it, along with a dry finish. Pleasantly bitter on the palate, too. Moderate carbonation does a good job of quashing any potential for a syrupy texture.
O: A really solid pilsner. The price point ($11/4 pack) only seems cheap in comparison to other Evil Twin brews - taking that out of consideration, this is actually pretty damn expensive. Shame about that price, because this is up there with both Sunshine Pils and Prima Pils in my opinion.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
UPDATED: FEB 22, 2014 20.06.2013, tap @ Tørst:
Small mediumlasting head. Aroma is pretty neutral, light malts, leafs, newly cut lawn, hops, herbs, hay, pepper, hints of citrus peel. Taste is dry grassy, lots of hops, light malts, hay, newly cut lawn, herbs, caramel, yeast, bark. Longlasting bitterness, dry mouthfeel, high on carbonation. Nice enough, too dry and hoppy for my taste.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Pours clear gold with a creamy medium white head. Aroma has light straw...almost corn. Flavor is grassy with a bit of a rubbing alcohol note. Mouthfeel is light and the finish is dry with grass/alcohol.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
12 ounce bottle purchased for about two bucks - pours a cloudy gold - so much yeast, looks more like a kellerbier - however, when you get past that, it actually looks nice, especially with the thick, frothy, lasting head it kicks up - nose has strong minerality and a lot of dull yeastiness and chalk that covers up the other characteristics of floral hops and lightly honey sweet malts - full but soft carbonation - grassy and lightly peppery hops up front - dense, dull yeastiness follows - light honey sweetness, a touch of tropical fruit, and a mineral bite follow, but much like the aroma, the yeast dulls these considerably - moderately bitter finish - tastes like there’s a damn fine hoppy pils hiding under all this yeast.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
On tap at Poor Phil’s in Oak Park, IL., and dispensed to a footed ale glass, showing a clear golden hue, with a decent, 1/2" hat of white foam, and ribbony lacing. The aroma was lager & pils scent, with sweet maltiness. The flavor included a hefty hop bitterness that was earthy & rindy, and complemented well by a noticeable alcohol presence, even at 5.5%. Better than light bodied, and crisp finishing.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle. Grassy and sweet nose, very clean and a bit minerally. Very light straw with a fluffy head. Mild hops right away / light rhubarb pie in mid / finishes thick and hoppy, but the flavors clear out quickly. Medium body. Nice, quite bitter. The name doesn’t do it justice.
