3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Golden murky appearance, decent head. Mango hops, spritzy clear fermentation. Nice bitterness, easily drinkable. Perhaps not quite clean enough. Nice recipe, simple hop mix I think, but that’s fine for the style. I very much enjoyed this, a really solid modern Pils. (33cl bottle from Saveur Bière)

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Properly in style, pale orange with withy, frothy head. The head is very persistent and compact. Aroma of orange zest, lemon grass, some tartness, a little bit of grain. Grain and sweet bready in the mouth, followed by light citrussy notes and very bitter grassy finish. A lot of green at rhe and. Light body, medium average, good feeling with the palate. It’s extemely dry, in the afthertaste the red sweet fruits returns. Good one beer.

Behind Evil Twin is brewer Jeppe Bjergsø the brother of Mikkel Bjergsø, best known as Mikkeller. Both brothers have obviously a great love for hops for the Low Life is much more hoppy than the expected type correctness for a lager. Yet it is a pleasant acquaintance, for behind the first gentle citrus hoppy tasting hides a gentle light caramel malt which quickly is replaced by a little more fruity hops flavor of exotic fruit (passion fruit, grapefruit and peach). Very soft carbonation keeps the taste buds busy for a long time with good gentle malt shades and tasty hops. Perhaps tangent to the more pale ale than lager, but delicious is it at least.
