A clever woman once said; ífair is foul and foul is fairí. On that note we threw in a young, unacknowledged hoppy pilsner, gave it a limp, wrinkly flavor and finished it off with an insulting high price that will give you a foul feeling in your mouth. Thatís why we name Evil Twin Brewingís Low Life the Golddigger of Beers.

Pours a dark orange with descent head. Pretty hoppy but not one of my favorites. Probably could do without again.

Bottle from Total Wine.

Relatively dark pour for a pils. Nose is lemon pie and yeast; flavor is dominated by bready strong yeast and a bit of stale hops. This is a mess.

Tallboy can from TRT. Poured a slightly hazed bright yellow gold with an average to smaller sized foamy white head. Aroma of honey topped bread, dry grains, bread crusts, dough. Flavor is the same as the aroma but the grains are a touch less sweet and a tad more scratchy.

473ml can. Nice fruity aroma, maybe some amero hops thrown in there, definitely keeps it interesting and its pretty fresh, Flavor brings to mind classic noble hops, orange marmalade, bitter grass, a tad sweet and high gravity for a pils, but overall nice.

1 pint can. The cans all look like they had the shit kicked out of them but I canít find any holes and the beer seems carbed. Pour is hazy gold with a full white head. Aroma is biscuit malt, bready yeast, and a distinct floral hop note. Aroma is crisp and clean. Clean floral hops dominate the flavor up front. The flavor evolves into clean malt and more bready yeast. Floral, bready, yeasty. Quite drinkable.

Evil Twin Low Life has a very thick, off-white head, a hazy (powdery sediment) apricot-orange-gold appearance, some bubble streams, and heavy lacing left behind. The aroma is of tropical fruity hops and sweetness, and the flavor is of sweet, white bread, pale malt, tropical fruit pulp, and fairly strong hop bitterness at the end of the sip. Mouthfeel is medium and slick, and Evil Twin Low Life finishes mostly dry and mellow. RJT

Bottle. Straw slight haze, thick bubbly white head. Nose is light, hoppy, lemons. Pleasant and lightly lemony in the mouth, like a mild sherbert. Very "summery" but with a lot of taste. Wonderful pilsner, almost edging to a pale ale!

Fresh, hoppy Pilsner , the Pilsner yeast comes through on the nose, but there is a nice dry finish.

Pint can into a large pilsner. Can date coded 15615 so Iím thinking according to freshbeeronly this is a best by date of June 15. Fuck me! The shit is 2 months past itís prime. Well maybe Iím reading it wrong. Anyway... A: Pours a deep gold with great clarity and a 2 finger tight beaded head. Good retention and lively carbonation visible. Large patches of lace left and the head never completely dissipates. S: Bread hits the nose first. Malty, crisp and a touch sweet with a hint of floral hop hiding at the back. Very good smell if quite subdued. T: More bitter than malty in flavor as the hops come to the forefront. A bit more piney than floral as opposed to the nose. Malts seem a bit more sour in taste than smell. Still crisp and refreshing and no I donít think it tastes old. A flavorful pils for sure with the malt rounding out a bit as the beer warms. M: Medium bodied lager with just enough carbonation to make it interesting. Long bitter and slightly sticky finish. O: Pretty decent pilsner exudes good craftsmanship. However this smells a little better than it tastes. Hopheads wonít be disappointed and the hops are good here but not sure they compliment the malted barley as well as they could. The juryís still out on this one but Iíll say itís above average. Certainly worth a try in 4 packs of pint cans.
