COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A clever woman once said; ’fair is foul and foul is fair’. On that note we threw in a young, unacknowledged hoppy pilsner, gave it a limp, wrinkly flavor and finished it off with an insulting high price that will give you a foul feeling in your mouth. That’s why we name Evil Twin Brewing’s Low Life the Golddigger of Beers.

Draft at the Whiskey Soda Lounge in Brooklyn while waiting for Pok Pok. Fun choice of a house beer, a lux version of the normal sweet lager available in SE Asian restaurants. Thick honey lager, very macro style but a bit cleaner, refined and tastes like better ingredients. Style isn’t great but this is a nice fun version.

Bottle. Pours light gold with a nice white head. Aroma is typical Pils with subtle hop presence. Drinks full-bodied for the style, taste is slightly sweet with faint lemon, honey, tea.

Bright sweetbread, yeast and almost citrus aroma. Like wheat beer somewhat. Cloudy yellow, a ton of head for a pils. Medium bitterness, sweet chase follows. Great crisp, biting body. Not like some softer pils, this one has cojones. Good example of a style beer snobs look down on.

Pale golden pour with a thick white head. Bright spicy nose with a zesty hoppiness and a nice crisp maltiness. Fresh and assertively hoppy. A bit of bright juicy hoppiness. Lovely.

Pint on tap. First Evil Twin beer, bout time! Cloudy bastard, dull golden color, light honey in it. Medium-large persistent head, with great lacing. Aroma is appetizing, perfect for the style, sweetgrains, but bitter, too. The mouthfeel is not overwhelming, distinctly medium, with average aftertaste, light and creamy. Pleasant overall, with grassy notes prevailing, and distinct pils bite. Man, the germans would be jealous if they tasted this, better than theirs! Just lacking a tiny bit of something, but I couldn’t say what - I’ve only had one better.

Bottle. Head is initially average sized, frothy, white, mostly lasting. Body is hazy medium yellow. Aroma is lightly to moderately malty (toasted grain), moderately hoppy (lemon, flowers, herbs, grass, resin), hint of DMS. Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly acidic, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly sweet, lightly acidic, moderately bitter, faintly vegetal. Medium body, velvety/watery texture, lively carbonation. Pretty solid brew...vibrant and complex hop character that doesn’t completely clobber the nice toasty malt in the background. Crisp and balanced in the mouth, and nice fluffy carbonation. Maybe a touch of vegetal character but overall pretty clean and very easy to enjoy/quaff. And looks great too...little bit of haze and well-lasting head. Not a "wow"-inducing beer, and a bit modernized, but quite pleasant.

Pour out of 12 oz bottle, hazy yellow-orange pour with fluffy white head, aroma brought notes of lots of cracker, pils malt with some biscuit, yeasty notes, nice spice and grassy hops, slight honey, vanilla as well. Taste is a mix of honey, grass, and spice, some nice biscuit, vanilla, pils in there, slight earth and grass notes finish fairly bitter, slightly dry. Pretty tasty.

Poured two fingers of head on a clear, medium straw colored body. The aroma is grain and pine. Mild but nice. The taste has mild pine bitterness with some honey sweetness in the middle. Finishes with mild dry bitter note. The texture is crisp with moderate carbonation. Enjoyable. It’s a little less bitter than most pilseners.

355ml bottle pours a golden color with a huge white head that retains well and leaves some nice lacing on the glass. Aroma is floral and fruity with some spiciness. Taste is fruity and malty sweet with a citrus and light spicy hop bitterness. Light bodied with lots of carbonation. Nicely done and highly recommended.

Bottle @ home picked up at Mile High Denver. Pours a hazy yellow appearance with a big fluffy, off white head. Pretty bright, a bit juicy, grassy/herbal hoppy, nice herbal pils malty, hay aroma. A touch sweet up front but dries out pretty well toward the finish. White grape, mild tropical fruity, lemon fruity, honey, a bit peppery flavor. Not a bad Pils.
