3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
355 ml bottle.
Pours clear pale golden color with a small white head. Some herbal notes on the nose, mild hops, sweet fruity notes, slightly grassy, kind of wheaty too, some fusel on the the background. Flavor is also a bit grassy with sweet orange notes, gooseberries on the aftertaste. Bitter palate, oily and lingering fruity finish with grainy notes. Not quite what I was expecting, decent.

16 oz single can from Molly’s Spirits. Light orange and slight hazy appearance with a fluffy, lasting white head. Aroma of pine, citrus, toasted grain, biscuit, grass and light hop resin. Flavor is husky, raw grainy, bready malts, mildly bitter and light peppery spice. Average body with a crisp feel, ample carbonation and a mild dry finish. Pretty solid pilsner overall. Paired with Chicken Fettuccine Alfredo and Widespread Panic’s All Time Low from Live in the Classic City (4/01/2000).

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 12/20
Clear brilliant golden with a wee rocky white head. Big grassy and earthy bitter aroma with a touch of blond cracker malt. The flavor starts a bit grassy and a bit bitter, with a earthy German blonde crackeriness on the back. Very full flavor but a bit two dimensional. Peppery finish.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Can from Beaumont Market in Portland, OR. Colour...deep gold with s frothy white head. Nose...lightly hoppy, slightly husky and somewhat biscuit like. Palate...slightly sweet with plenty of grassy notes, more hops than I’m accustomed to when it comes to pilsener (not that that is bad) and a bit of dryness. Some field dust and citrus pith hits the mid palate, and the hops come back fairly strong on the finish.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle at Momofuku Toronto. Initial pour is crystal clear golden with a small white head - turns a bit hazy when the rest is poured, but still attractive. Clean aroma and flavour of biscuit and breadcrust malts and lemony hops. Bit of cut grass and lemon balm in the finish. Simple and good.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
From a 330ml bottle on 14/5/2015. Pours a clearish light golden with a small head. The aroma is grassy with some light fruitiness. Taste wise, it features biscuity and bready malt, citrus (particularly lemon and some orange), and pretty big herbal hops kicking in late and lingering long. Full bodied with average carbonation. Not a typical pils but rather tasty and unusually bitter.
