COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A clever woman once said; ’fair is foul and foul is fair’. On that note we threw in a young, unacknowledged hoppy pilsner, gave it a limp, wrinkly flavor and finished it off with an insulting high price that will give you a foul feeling in your mouth. That’s why we name Evil Twin Brewing’s Low Life the Golddigger of Beers.

12 oz bottle into a pint glass. A: Pours a cloudy golden color. The head is a two finger white shade. Texturing is more frothy than creamy, with a floater in the middle suggesting a good hop profile. Plenty of lacing is left on the glass, too, also suggesting a good hop profile. S: This seems to be loaded with a few ’Merican hops, which is a welcoming presence. They provide notes of grapefruit, apricot, and grass. There also seems to be a vegetal note hidden in there that I don’t like too much - evoking green bell peppers. Otherwise, solid. T: It takes a bit of time for the hop profile (and the welcoming bitterness) to hit the palate, but when it does, it introduces notes of apricot, pine, grapefruit, and maybe some nettle. Not much malt presence - a good thing. Only the vegetal hints of bell pepper keep this from being great. M: This has a crisp bite to it, along with a dry finish. Pleasantly bitter on the palate, too. Moderate carbonation does a good job of quashing any potential for a syrupy texture. O: A really solid pilsner. The price point ($11/4 pack) only seems cheap in comparison to other Evil Twin brews - taking that out of consideration, this is actually pretty damn expensive. Shame about that price, because this is up there with both Sunshine Pils and Prima Pils in my opinion.

12 oz bottle from BOTW (Rochester), served at cellar temperature in a tulip glass.

App.: Clear golden with a rocky, off-white head. Aroma: Kinda fruity (berries), melanoidin-like maltiness, perfumed, grassy hops, floral, certainly a bit much for a Pils. Palate: Medium body, relaxed carbonation. Flav.: A bit of Pils grainy maltiness, still has a certain fruity, perfumed, floral character, reasonable grassy/green hops, not clean enough a Pils; dry with decent bitterness and a lightly perfumed/floral, grainy malt finish.

A bit too much going on for a Pils. Not too bad, just as a bber.

Aroma - honey, lemongrass, ceral bordering on bready. Appearance - hazy golden body, fluffy white head when agitated. Medium retention. Flavor - bready sweetness, sharp lemony hop bite, grassy and fruity round out the flavors. Palate - light bodied, crisp, medium carbonation. Overall - super drinkable, finish is crisp and clean, slightly citrusy too. A very good beer.

Bottle. Golden beer, small head. Hoppy aroma. Taste is grainy, with some nice fruity hops and a note of banana. Tasty, especially for a pilsner. Still, the body is too thin. Low fermentation has its limits.

There’s a lot going on with the various flavors in this brew. Lightly toasted with subtle, sweet pilsner malts and creamy yeast on a lightly bitter earthy hop overtone with some some fresh milled grains in there as well. It ends more hoppy than the nose initially indicates. A little floral and earthy with a bit of bitter citrus peel thrown in. All in all, great drink-ability and very well done.

Banana aroma flavour apa like pilsener. Fruity fresh does not look pilsner cloudy. But nice

Bottle: Translucent sunburst with hazy golden edges, capped off with a bubbly, semi-soapy bone white froth that leaves some nice lacing as it quickly settles. Aroma of crisp bread, lightly toasted with slightly sweet pilsner malts, biscuits, creamy yeast, & a lightly bitter earthy hop overtone. Some fresh milled grains, too. Flavor is more hoppy than the nose initially leads on. Somewhat floral, earthy, & even with a bit of bitter citrus peel out of the gate. Still has that nice pilsner malt base with notes of biscuit, lightly toasted bread, & husky cereal grains. Faintest hint of DMS & a nice mouthful of yeast with a hint of white pepper earthiness in a mostly hop forward finish. Finishes mostly clean, a touch dry, & modestly bitter.

Bottle. Hazy, golden body. Frothy, white head, diminishing. Aroma of grapefruit, lemon, light resin, grass, raw grain, bread. The flavor is moderately sweet and lightly bitter. It finishes lightly sweet and moderately bitter. Medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation. On the edge of being a pale ale — a pilsener with citrus flavors. A bit heavy for a pils, but pleasant enough despite hints of raw grain.

SWBF 2014. Pours a semi-clear orange with a low white head. Aromas of citrus, elderflower, yuzu, funk and lemongrass. Taste is a bit sour in a very nice way with some elderflower and lemongrass as well with some lemon zest. Mouthfeel is thin with medium carbonation.

1 pt 6 fl oz bottle @ home from De Molen. Body is slightly to very hazy, golden orange to light brownish copper, Head is very small to small, white to beige, mostly diminishing, good lacing, bottom is full with yeast. Nose is moderated fresh fruits, Aroma is fruits, light caramel, light cereal, slightly roasted malt, peach, light hops, later more hoppy and yeasty. Taste light to medium sweetness, medium bitterness, hint of fruity sourness. Medium body, thick texture, soft carbonation, mostly diminishing bitter-sweet milk chocolate finish. Refreshing, first very easy to drink then quite dessert kind, simple but quite unusal pilsener.
