3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
12 oz bottle into a pint glass.
A: Pours a cloudy golden color. The head is a two finger white shade. Texturing is more frothy than creamy, with a floater in the middle suggesting a good hop profile. Plenty of lacing is left on the glass, too, also suggesting a good hop profile.
S: This seems to be loaded with a few ’Merican hops, which is a welcoming presence. They provide notes of grapefruit, apricot, and grass. There also seems to be a vegetal note hidden in there that I don’t like too much - evoking green bell peppers. Otherwise, solid.
T: It takes a bit of time for the hop profile (and the welcoming bitterness) to hit the palate, but when it does, it introduces notes of apricot, pine, grapefruit, and maybe some nettle. Not much malt presence - a good thing. Only the vegetal hints of bell pepper keep this from being great.
M: This has a crisp bite to it, along with a dry finish. Pleasantly bitter on the palate, too. Moderate carbonation does a good job of quashing any potential for a syrupy texture.
O: A really solid pilsner. The price point ($11/4 pack) only seems cheap in comparison to other Evil Twin brews - taking that out of consideration, this is actually pretty damn expensive. Shame about that price, because this is up there with both Sunshine Pils and Prima Pils in my opinion.

4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Poured from a 16 OZ can into a flute glass at the Iron Abbey in Willow Grove, PA. The appearance is a hazy golden orange with a moderate sized white head. The aroma is full of malt with some biscuit and hops added for fun. The flavor is big on malt and bread, a really nice flavor. Overall, a really good beer.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pours a slightly cloudy, dark golden yellow color with straw colored edges and a one finger, white foam head that quickly settles into a lasting ring. Splotchy lacing left behind.
Slightly earthy, crisp hop aroma with pale malt and light fruit notes. Grassy with sappy pine needle followed by hints of apple, straw, pale pilsner malt and biscuit.
Similar to aroma with a crisp hop bite up front that lingers over the pale malts into a slightly dry finish. Nice grassy presence with sweet apple and pear flavor. Nothing too exciting but this beer is crisp, refreshing and easy to drink.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Dry, floral, grassy with some bitterness but fairly smooth. A decent pilsener. Never blown away by the style of beer (too close to lager) but it has its place. Of course this is well made.

Bottle. Great looking beer, thick, white lacing head. The beer is hazy brown, well carbonated. It is well hopped but the pilsner flavor comes through as well. Dry, and a little bit earthy.

Bottle, 0.355l. Clear deep golden color with large soapy white head and sparkling appearance. Aroma of citrus, herbs, wheat, passion fruit and yeast. Taste starts light sweet grainy, following is herbal, citric and yeasty, while mouthfeel is crisp and dry with harsh bitter finish and pleasant aftertaste. Light to medium body, slick texture and lively carbonation in palate. It’s an easy life with such a good pilsener...
