A clever woman once said; ’fair is foul and foul is fair’. On that note we threw in a young, unacknowledged hoppy pilsner, gave it a limp, wrinkly flavor and finished it off with an insulting high price that will give you a foul feeling in your mouth. That’s why we name Evil Twin Brewing’s Low Life the Golddigger of Beers.

Bottle. Hazy light gold with a 1 finger white head. Aroma is pilsner malt and light citrus. Taste follows suit but emphasizes the citrus a little more. Crisp mouthfeel and long finish. Enjoyable.

Corn, barley and malt in the aroma. The taste is fruity. Good bitterness which sits in the upper part of the mouth of a weak moment. Still, quite tasty to drink. Follow me @ Kung av öl @ Facebook for more pictures and ratings.

From the bottle at the Fare. Aroma is bitter yeast, fresh cut grass, and stale bread. Pours light and bubbly with a light blonde body. Taste is grass, peanut brittle, and stale biscuit. Not the most exciting pilsner but probably easy to kick back a few.

Light, zippy cereal aroma bursts out of the craggy egg-white head. Smooth, light and crisp with some decent bitterness with no discernible hop flavor. Packs a good amount of flavor in something so light and drinkable.

Bottle->footed pilsner. Gold with moderate white head. A: grass, pilsner hops, grains. T: bitter wet hops over grass and malt. Not particularly good.

SWBF 2014. Pours a semi-clear orange with a low white head. Aromas of citrus, elderflower, yuzu, funk and lemongrass. Taste is a bit sour in a very nice way with some elderflower and lemongrass as well with some lemon zest. Mouthfeel is thin with medium carbonation.

Lots of power and presence for what is a subtle style. Far from OTT at 5%, the flavours are classic but more in your face than what is typical. Concentrated herbs and grass, almost bitter, and a sweetness that is probably hop-derived. Plays bigger than it is.

12oz bottle via secret santa pours a hazy golden with a small white head and some yeast floaters. Aroma of citrus and grassy hops, with pilsner malt and yeast. Nothing really stands out in the taste here, bland. Bottled 7/13/13 not the freshest bottle.

Aroma: (6- above average) Hay and honey with a light noble hop presence. Appearance: (3- average) Hard to judge; it didn’t look like the average pils, (being translucent and not having much of a head) but had very nice lacing besides. Flavor: (6- above average) The hops are more substantial, but not in a particularly pleasing way; hay is still present but somewhat concealed. Palate: (3- average) Medium body, sticky texture, very soft palate but an abrupt finish. Overall: An uneven beer, both for better and for worse. Could be really very good with some tweaks.

Clear golden, white head. Mild hoppy aroma with hint of honey. Soft and smooth taste, not a lot of bitterness or hop.
