2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
Clear golden, white head. Mild hoppy aroma with hint of honey. Soft and smooth taste, not a lot of bitterness or hop.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Clear yellow pour. Herbal, somewhat saccharine nose; mint, lemon oil, white sugar. It lacks a rustic quality. Metallic notes blend with citrus oils to create an unpleasant tanginess.
The flavor is wrapped up nicely in grasses and and a pillowy chamomile note, though there is little to be said for malt foundation here. The finish offers a dry apricot skin and pith flavor with minimal length.
The body is light and crisp, while the perceived lack of malt balance gives it an intangible looseness. While pleasant enough to drink, thereís just so little pils flavor here.

2.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
12oz bottle via secret santa pours a hazy golden with a small white head and some yeast floaters. Aroma of citrus and grassy hops, with pilsner malt and yeast. Nothing really stands out in the taste here, bland. Bottled 7/13/13 not the freshest bottle.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Enjoyed on tap at Quenchers in Chicago, IL at a show. Didn't take tasting notes for this one, but remember this being an average to above average pils. Nothing extraordinary, just good for what it is with more of a yeast flavor. Just decent.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Poured two fingers of head on a clear, medium straw colored body.
The aroma is grain and pine. Mild but nice.
The taste has mild pine bitterness with some honey sweetness in the middle. Finishes with mild dry bitter note.
The texture is crisp with moderate carbonation.
Enjoyable. Itís a little less bitter than most pilseners.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bright sweetbread, yeast and almost citrus aroma. Like wheat beer somewhat. Cloudy yellow, a ton of head for a pils. Medium bitterness, sweet chase follows. Great crisp, biting body. Not like some softer pils, this one has cojones. Good example of a style beer snobs look down on.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
65 cl bottle @ home. Pours hazy yellow with a white head that leaves quite a bit of lacing. Aroma and flavour are grains, citrus, hay, and grass Ė with a dry finish.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
CBAC day 23. Pours a hazy golden yellow with a huge frothy and bubbly white head. Aroma of yeast, bread, grass, herbs and some light citrus on the finish. Taste is yeast, bread, grassy hops with some light citrus and floral flavors as well. Nice hop presence to this lager as well as having a nice dry crisp and clean finish. Overall this is a nice pilsner with some hop presence just a bit light in the body and could use more malt backbone.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bomber into a fluted glass. Pours gold with a slight white head that leaves loose lacing. Citrus, grass, biscuit. Taste is biscuit, fruits, grass, a bit of soap. Would love a bit more of a dry, crisp finish. The sweetness makes things a bit sticky.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Straw yellow, cloudier than most. Fluffy head in a thin pilsner glass, with a tall crown of lace. The carbonation doesnít really show up until you swirl that baby around.
The aroma is Euro malts, but at least it is barley and nice Rice Krispies. Itís crisp and slightly sweet. The hop is incredibly mild, but pleasant enough. There isnít much you can do with a pils.
The flavor is sweet malts, but again, remarkably free of adjuncts. The hop reminds me of the kind of hop you might see in 1979 when someone gave you a "hoppy" beer. And thatís a good thing. Would have been a wonderful gateway beer in the Carter administration.
The feel is foamy; medium bodied. If all pilsners could be this crisp and free of corn syrup, we might have an actual beer culture among the hoi polloi in this country. Though you canít do a whole lot with a pilsner, itís a pretty good one.
