3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
Pint on tap. First Evil Twin beer, bout time! Cloudy bastard, dull golden color, light honey in it. Medium-large persistent head, with great lacing. Aroma is appetizing, perfect for the style, sweetgrains, but bitter, too. The mouthfeel is not overwhelming, distinctly medium, with average aftertaste, light and creamy. Pleasant overall, with grassy notes prevailing, and distinct pils bite. Man, the germans would be jealous if they tasted this, better than theirs! Just lacking a tiny bit of something, but I couldn’t say what - I’ve only had one better.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Botella de 65 cl en el Lupulo. 21-12-13.

Tap at Mikkeller Bar, San Francisco. Pours a clear golden yellow with a small fading white head. Nose has herbal notes, citrus tones and floral hops. Bit of dough in there too. Taste is super crisp - citrus/floral tones combing with the dough malts. Super easy drinking.

Draught at BrewDog Manchester. Slightly hazy gold with a fluffy white head and lacing. Plenty of fruity hop character above more familiar grainy lager notes. Hop bitter taste with hints of citrus, apricot and berry. This almost feels like an IPA, but there’s enough pils character to separate it. A good one.
