COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A clever woman once said; ’fair is foul and foul is fair’. On that note we threw in a young, unacknowledged hoppy pilsner, gave it a limp, wrinkly flavor and finished it off with an insulting high price that will give you a foul feeling in your mouth. That’s why we name Evil Twin Brewing’s Low Life the Golddigger of Beers.

Tap at the Cask, Pimlico - 14/12/12. Clear mid amber, visible carbonation, thin white head which dissipates to the edge of the glass. Nose comprises, grain, yeast esters, orange peel, touch of honey, light spice. Taste roughly follows with pale malt, orange and a touch of mint. Medium bodied, light spritzy carbonation, dry finish.

On tap at Torst. A hoppy Americanized version of a pilsner, not the more authentic FIrestone version. Lots of lace and head. Saaz hops really come through.

Tap at CBC. Low haze straw with higher carbonation. Soapy, webby lacing. Decent retention. Grapefruit and mango hop nose. Pretty dank. Doughty, fresh, estery. Taste is bready, hay, orange peel, heavy noble hop squash and melon character. Aerated mouthfeel. Czech pils written all over this one. Nice job Jeppe ;)

Bottle. Pours cloudy gold with fluffy white head. Nose and taste of bready malt, coriander, peach bread, citrus, cereal grain, light spice and dank lemongrass. Medium body. Finishes crisp and slightly bitter. One of the best I’ve had in this style.

Pale golden pour with a thick white head. Bright spicy nose with a zesty hoppiness and a nice crisp maltiness. Fresh and assertively hoppy. A bit of bright juicy hoppiness. Lovely.

Sampled from bottle @ De Molen monthly tasting. Clear golden color, medium sized white head. Smell and taste lightly malts, lightly hops, a bit flowery. Low body, medium carbonation. Nice pilsener.

Sample at The Pint Room. Pours a slightly hazy pale golden color with a thin white head that evaporates steadily. Strings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of herbal hops and malt. Light-bodied with flavors of grassy hops, biscuit malt and spice. The finish is mildly bitter with a floral hop aftertaste. Decent overall.

UPDATED: APR 27, 2014 draft at Copenhagen Beer Celebration. lightly hazed effervescent gold body with a fine-bubbled white head. light touches of sweet honey malt in the nose with soft floral and clean soap yeast esters and a soft and balanced cascade hop fruitiness that matches the body and sweetness well. has striking cleanliness with wonderful support of malt body & acid with zingy and fresh yet modest use of American hops. I feel like so many brewers would overdo the Cascade with this type of pilsner in hope of making a more bold beer for fest-goers, one that in my opinion would have been out of balance and less interesting and far less enjoyable than this. 3.9/5

May 2013 bottle version from a store in DC: yeasty / eggy smell; bitter unripe citrus pith and rind hop character; starchy, grainy and husky; saccharine sweetness. bad shape. This is nothing like the draft version had last year in Copenhagen; this is raw, worty, sweet, bitter with no balance and hence no reason to drink. 2.2/5

BMan1113VR (7858) - Los Angeles, California, USA - DEC 10, 2013
Bottle. Pours with a crystal clear yellow hued body and a small white head that fades. Aromas are of bready and doughy malt, mild yeast, low sweetness, light citrus and herbal hop notes. Flavors are dry and bitter with light herbal and tea like notes. Dry, crisp and clean, low citrus, mild yeast. Very little malt structure. Bitter balance. Lively carbonation. Dry, low body.
