COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A clever woman once said; ’fair is foul and foul is fair’. On that note we threw in a young, unacknowledged hoppy pilsner, gave it a limp, wrinkly flavor and finished it off with an insulting high price that will give you a foul feeling in your mouth. That’s why we name Evil Twin Brewing’s Low Life the Golddigger of Beers.

Draught @ [ Copenhagen Beer Celebration 2012 ] @ Spartas Lokaler, Faelledparken in Osterbro, Copenhagen, Denmark.

Unclear medium orange yellow colour with a large, frothy to creamy, good lacing, mostly lasting, white to off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, light hoppy, grass, crispy hops, moderate yeasty, fruity. Flavour is moderate sweet and light to moderate bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20120511]

On tap at Copenhagen Beer Celebration 2012. An unclear one, yellow-golden in color and topped by a creamy, off-white head of two-finger size. The aroma is quite fruity, with some maltyness and grassy notes. There’s a decent bitterness in the flavor, as well as fruityness and grassy hints, some pale malts in the back. Medium body, quite dry on the palate, finishing mostly bitter. A quenching and pleasant beer. 120511

650. Pours a hazy burnished dark amber with a loose white head. Has some bright sparkling edges, but hardly the sparkling clear yellow fizz some pilseners show. Biscuity, bready nose. Could be a lot crisper, but not at all unpleasant. Creamy lightish body; not quite watery. Toasty, crackery mid palate. Kind of ended up in the middle on this one--not light and crisp and sparkling, and neither is it an effervescent beer full of interesting yeast and hop interplay. But shows no flaws.

UPDATED: APR 27, 2014 draft at Copenhagen Beer Celebration. lightly hazed effervescent gold body with a fine-bubbled white head. light touches of sweet honey malt in the nose with soft floral and clean soap yeast esters and a soft and balanced cascade hop fruitiness that matches the body and sweetness well. has striking cleanliness with wonderful support of malt body & acid with zingy and fresh yet modest use of American hops. I feel like so many brewers would overdo the Cascade with this type of pilsner in hope of making a more bold beer for fest-goers, one that in my opinion would have been out of balance and less interesting and far less enjoyable than this. 3.9/5

May 2013 bottle version from a store in DC: yeasty / eggy smell; bitter unripe citrus pith and rind hop character; starchy, grainy and husky; saccharine sweetness. bad shape. This is nothing like the draft version had last year in Copenhagen; this is raw, worty, sweet, bitter with no balance and hence no reason to drink. 2.2/5

On tap. Hazy golden with white head. Aroma grainy and crisp, flowers and citrus. Taste was surprisingly grainy and malty, loads of hops. Doesn’t feel very Pilsner-y, still pretty tasty

Bottle at the De Molen July 2nd Tuesday tasting. Poured a crystal clear medium amber with a thin white head and fairly high carbonation. Hey, it was like beer champagne. The flavour is weak dry malt leading to a medium bitter, smooth, hoppy malt flavour with a smooth medium biter finish. A very drinkable summer session beer.

22oz bottle pours a hazy, dark gold with some fizzy, white head. Nose of oranges, grass, straw, some light crushed malt. Flavor is sweet, malty, orange, hay, light honey. Clean finish. Decent.
