COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A clever woman once said; ’fair is foul and foul is fair’. On that note we threw in a young, unacknowledged hoppy pilsner, gave it a limp, wrinkly flavor and finished it off with an insulting high price that will give you a foul feeling in your mouth. That’s why we name Evil Twin Brewing’s Low Life the Golddigger of Beers.

Tap at the Copenhagen Beer Celebration 2012. Pours hazy gold with a fleeting, white foam head. Biscuity malt nose with light citrus notes. Medium sweet flavor, a touch sugary, with further biscuits and light alcohol. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Sweet, semi-clean finish with more pale, biscuity malts, light floral notes, some grain. It’s pretty nice, but just a bit too sweet.

Craft Clerkenwell. Hazy gold beer, little white head. Palate is light and dry. Fresh minerally carbonation. A modicum of raw grain. Fair bit minerally fresh orange hop. Finishes crisp and dry. More of an APA perhaps but good nontheless.

Draft at Closed for Business. Clear straw pour with a small white head. Grassy, piney hop aroma with clean grainy pale malts. Flavor is essentially the same with a bit more sweetness to it. Clean easy drinking beer and not too shabby in the heat.

Sampled from bottle @ De Molen monthly tasting. Clear golden color, medium sized white head. Smell and taste lightly malts, lightly hops, a bit flowery. Low body, medium carbonation. Nice pilsener.

It’s 95 degrees outside so seemed like pilsener was the way to go. Pours golden with slight greenish tint. White soapy head and light grassy nose. Tastes of yeast, honey, bready, grass, floral, with hops on the finish. Nice bitterness and drying finish. Glad to be inside in AC sipping this brew.

pours clear bright yellow with a nice white head, some retention and lacing. grainy and peppery, honeyed malts, herbal-grassy, soft and sweet lemony notes, low sulfur, hint of pineapple but some phenols and disturbing off-flavors do appear. moderate carbonation, light body - oily, crisp, dry and assertive citrusy-pepper-noble hops finish. not perfect, but a very refreshing pilsner.

Pour out of 12 oz bottle, hazy yellow-orange pour with fluffy white head, aroma brought notes of lots of cracker, pils malt with some biscuit, yeasty notes, nice spice and grassy hops, slight honey, vanilla as well. Taste is a mix of honey, grass, and spice, some nice biscuit, vanilla, pils in there, slight earth and grass notes finish fairly bitter, slightly dry. Pretty tasty.

Bottle. Head is initially average sized, frothy, white, mostly lasting. Body is hazy medium yellow. Aroma is lightly to moderately malty (toasted grain), moderately hoppy (lemon, flowers, herbs, grass, resin), hint of DMS. Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly acidic, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly sweet, lightly acidic, moderately bitter, faintly vegetal. Medium body, velvety/watery texture, lively carbonation. Pretty solid brew...vibrant and complex hop character that doesn’t completely clobber the nice toasty malt in the background. Crisp and balanced in the mouth, and nice fluffy carbonation. Maybe a touch of vegetal character but overall pretty clean and very easy to enjoy/quaff. And looks great too...little bit of haze and well-lasting head. Not a "wow"-inducing beer, and a bit modernized, but quite pleasant.
