COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Named after an antagonist movie character with a violent temper and a propensity for drooling, furthermore brewed amongst mad-ish Scottish dogs. Nevertheless is this beer far from mad itself. You’ll find it a very pleasant, peaceful and a loyal Pale Ale – woof.

Bottled. Pours clear amber with a medium sized off-white head leaving a fair lacing. Nose of citrus, peach, pine, floral notes and caramel. Sweet flavor that ends up quite dry and decent bitter. Medium bodied, watery to oily texture and average CO2. A nice and crisp pale ale. ★★★

Hazy orange pour with a white head. Nose is floral and piney with some sweet citrus notes. Sweet bread and toffee malt notes, a bit of grass, and mild peach. Flavor is on the sweet side, but more in the way of the sugar and fruit kind of sweetness. Toffee and caramel malt, peach, and sweet oranges. Floral hops, mild pine bitterness, and some hints of grass.

Amber liquid with a small head. Really balanced aroma. Cara malts, hops, toffee... also balanced in mouth. The cara malts and the hops are one.

Shared bottle @Papsoe’s. Deep gold colored body. Lacing blond top. Light grainy and ashy(!) malt aroma. Loads of earthy and rather unfresh grassy hops. Taste substatially bitter. Light papery and quite harsh bitterness. Grainy malt body, light to medium full. Oily texture. Bitter finish. Quite one-dimesonal and simple. [14.07.12]

Tap at Copenhagen Beer Celebration, Day Two. Pours clear, orange-gold with a fine, white head. Bit of orange citrus on the nose. Light sweet flavor, some dry orange, some rind, some dry and leafy bitterness, fain dry caramel. Light to medium bodied with fine carbonation. Moderately dry finish with some rindy citrus, toasty caramel. Pretty basic beer but it makes for a nice drinker.
