1.4 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 2/20
Normally I love DIPAS / TIPAS with high ABV, bot NOT when the smell and taste of alcohol is overwhelming. Despite the brilliant idea of mixing different beer styles into one bottle, the outcome was not OK. As they put it on their label: ..."the alcohol was admirably well hidden"...
Well, sorry, that doesn´t go for this beer. And: "this beer will knock your tongue off"... Well, not really, but I did loose my eyebrows when my breath accidentally caught fire due to sitting too close to the fireplace after having tasted said beer. Finally an understatement: "...by far one of the craziest beer ever made by Evil Twin"...

4.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
Hazy dark golden with a small foamy white head. Lovely aroma of floral and lemon/grapefruit hops, some resin, a light bit of pine wood, and spring pollen, with a semi-sweet background. Tastes very big and bold with a large bitter booziness. For once, a >10% IPA has a noticeable hop bitterness. But has plenty of maltiness as well. Lots of floral resin with a bit of pine and leafy hops, some sticky caramalt, a wee touch of boozy molasses, and a faint bit of amber malt and raisin. Bitter throughout with a earthy sweetness. Wonderous.

4.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle. Rich, orange color with just a thin but firm creamy head. The aromatics are deceivingly mellow but hint at some resin-laden wood and alcohol. However, once on the palate, the warming alcohol burn takes the front seat, with a dry, cloying aspect of fermented orange and acid. A Sunday sipper. (#5417, 1/25/2014)

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
The color is a slightly hazy orange with a large white head, and the aroma is a clean blend of resin, floral, and citrus hops. The taste is extremely bitter on the front end with it fading to a mild bitterness and a slight sweetness as it covers the tongue. The palate fuses a slick texture, medium body, long and slightly bitter finish, and a soft carbonation.
