English: Did you like Before During and after Christmas? Maybe thought it pored brilliantly, the alcohol was admirable well hidden and you loved how the arrogant amount of hops numbed you. This beer will knock your tongue off, essentially due to the obscure amount of hops that went down this explosive fella – it’s a tour de force in hoppyness and by far the craziest beer ever made from Evil Twin – but not the last.

Hazy old gold pour that turns to a nice, peach and bright amber when held to light, with a thin off white head that has great retention and leaves decent lacing. Aroma is full of caramel, burnt sugar and sweet citrus, some tropical and pine, toast and sweet malt, just a hint of toffee. Flavor is caramel, toast, muted biscuit and fruity esters quickly blown out of the water by sweet malt and sweet and bitter citrus, something very much citrus rind-like, probably hops, but I wouldn’t be surprised to find grapefruit or orange rind in the recipe, syrupy floral notes and sweet hay. This thing is really just full of sweet and bitter malt, fruit and hop notes fighting it out in a tug of war that has a different winner every second. Palate is medium to heavy body, with a slick and chewy entry, light, blanketing and sharp carbonation and dry, slightly puckering but still somewhat slick and sticky finish. Good stuff, but pretty boozy and a little astringent in the finish, the all over the place, extreme sweet to bitter and back balance grows fatiguing.

12oz bottle, from Party Source. Bottled 6/25/13. Brewed in Stratford, CT. Mostly clear reddish orange color. Thin off-white head, fades to a minimal ring, leaves little lace. Huge body. Lighter, kind of crisp carbonation. Citrusy, pineapple hop aroma. Biscuit malt undertone. Sweet taste, light bitter, some considerable moderate warmth to the flavor, there is a light alcohol burn in the finish. Not too hot, not terrible to sip, but not what I’d call well-hidden. As far as super-strong IPA goes, 120 Minute pulls it off a lot better - has a much better flavor-to-alcohol ratio. Hops are not as amped up as I hoped here, it certainly tastes strong, though. Still, enjoyable to sip over an extended period of time through the evening, and worth trying. Just not something I’ll seek out again.

Aroma is resinous deep pine, citrus, bitter grapefruit rind. Expressive. Appears red, slightly orange and clear, with a slight head and white ring. Taste is sticky intense citrus, sweet bitter and boozy. Just huge. Palate crusher. Not for the faint of heart.

12 oz bottle: The pour was delightful golden amber hue with nice clarity and an off white head. Lively aroma was slightly disappointing with some muted citrus, pine, alcohol and tropical fruit. Similar flavors dominate the palette.

Too boozy. Hope were washed out by alcohol and sweetness was bubble gum tang. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

12oz bottle (brewed at Two Roads in CT) in a tulip. Pours deep amber with a lacy, cream-colored head. Aroma strong of citrusy and resinous hops, a good amount of caramel malts, plus a little alcohol. Everything in this beer is strong. Smooth to thicker texture. A good beer, but IPAs that are this strong seem to lose their hoppiness in everything else.

UPDATED: DEC 1, 2013 Draft. This is everything a dipa needs to be. Plenty of citrus, pine, malt backing, medium to low pleasant bitterness. Def west coast in inspiriation. Beware of the bottles of his. Ill leave this review up but recently had a bottle that tasted like hairspray.

Good for me I drinking this straight from the bottle because I’m moving tomorrow and all my glass wear is packed. Looks like a brown bottle with beer in it. Wholly crap that’s an intense beer, massive beer. Sticky sweet caramel hints of vegetable, intense hops with huge heat behind the bitter. Old pine, mellow grapefruit, finishes with floral honey. massive but not harsh. Good beer that I will completely forget about later this week.

Bottle. Cloudy medium orange colour, very cloudy, with a light orange dense head. Aroma is very hoppy, lots of pine and light florals, with an underlying sweetness. Sweet sticky resionous palate is hop dominated as promised, mostly lightly floral pine, but some grapefruit too. Ripe peach and honey provide the sweet flavours, very malty. The alcohol is apparent but not harsh. This was very nice in my opinion, like an American BW/IIPA hybrid.
