2.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
UPDATED: FEB 4, 2015 330ml bottle (Pudel, Tallinn) (5:3:4:2:9=2.3)
Pleasant orange, brief head. Absurdly sweet sugary aroma, childrens sweet fruity sherbetty sweeties. Did I mention sweet? Real fruit coctail at the back of the mouth and nose. Massively sweet, fair bit of booze too, surprisingly pleasant given how potent this is. However, it all goes horribly wrong as soon as you swallow. The sweetness gets replaced by a disgusting artificial sweetener bitterness. Earthy and dirty. More sugary sweetness. Lots of alcohol. Aggressively bitter. Throbbingly so. Tongue-scraping. Later finish more pleasant bitterness, but it’s too late, it’s exploded in your mouth, and you wished you’d spat rather than swallowed, and now you want a mouthwash. Later, I get swimming pool from the aroma, not nice. Oh god, another horrifically unbalanced unsophisticated alcoholic imperial double extreme IPA, please may this fashion die out soon, so actual beer can make use of the space in the fridges.
Rerate: 330ml bottle (Koht, Tallinn) (4:2:5:3:9=2.3)
Sweet aroma, like a children’s perfume. Gold, but with flecks floating all through it. Disgustingly sweet taste too. Hops more pleasant, less rough, than before. Thoroughly uninteresting sugar and hop combo. Drinkability basically zero with all that fucking sugar. Ug, 4 fucking Evil Twat rerates this evening, it’s gonna be hell...

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 15/20
Aroma is malt and hops, nicely mixed. Medium amber with small, bubbly soapy head. Taste has citrusy hops muscling out the malt, with a hint of the ABV. Alcohol kicks in on the palate and warms the gullet. Nicely blended beer.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle. Bright orange. Boozy citrus hop aroma. Taste is boozy pineapple peach with a bitter dry finish. Doesn’t do a great job of hiding booze.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
UPDATED: JAN 14, 2014 Picked up at the COOP before Christmas... I have been too scared to open it, but tonight is the night. Pours heavy and thick, clear orange liquid with a short lasting 1/2" head.. surprisingly okay lite sheets of white lacing.
The nose on this is a huge clusterfuck yet still dances pretty well. Tons of malty sweetness helps bring out the over-the-top fruity hoppiness and the background EtOH curls the nosehairs... Like a fruitbowl soaked in everclear and left in the sun for hours.
Amazingly the only thing that is "good" in a traditional sense actually is the flavor.. Cloyingly sweet with tropical fruity hoppiness... not enough bitterness IMO... very sweet overripe fruity hops on the finish.. very boozy.
Oh.. God... this is soooo very viscous... I dig the brewer’s intention, and honestly, it was well done. But for my personal tastes, this is a freaking terrible beer only enjoyed by people who don’t actually like beer.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours a copper color with little to no head. It has very little aroma but you can smell the citrus. The taste is bitter and a little dry throughout and the citrus and pine stand out with a warming sensation at the end. The carbonation, sweetness, and hops all add up with the citrus and pine to make a fine ipa.

3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
UPDATED: JAN 12, 2014 Bottle to snifter. Hazy, but shiny gold/Orange. Taste is odd at first: red, juicy fruit. Grows on me as I take small sips. Crazy taste and palate all over the place with citrus and fruit cocktail, then hints of hops, then malt, booze. Not sure that I would buy this again But it was very interesting.
