English: Did you like Before During and after Christmas? Maybe thought it pored brilliantly, the alcohol was admirable well hidden and you loved how the arrogant amount of hops numbed you. This beer will knock your tongue off, essentially due to the obscure amount of hops that went down this explosive fella – it’s a tour de force in hoppyness and by far the craziest beer ever made from Evil Twin – but not the last.

Bottle. Cloudy Amber pour with a nice almost creamy head. Grapefruit, citrus, sugar cane, Herb. Body is big but the well balanced body hides the alcohol very well. There is some spice at the end. Nice

330 ml bottle from Club de Cervezas, Chile. Let’s see if this lives up to the hype. Pours a slightly hazy amber color with a small off-white head that diminishes quickly but leaves a lacing. Aroma shows a strong, powerful hop punch with clear grapefruit, orange and citrus notes. Dry hopping. An intense fruity aroma (mostly peaches, guavas and loquats) appears after warming up, backed up by bready malts. Almost no phenols or alcoholic undertones. Taste is really intense although it’s not tongue ripper. It’s more of an incredibly well-balanced IIPA with enormous amounts of hops but mixed up with an overdose of malty sweetness and a warming effect. Prickling bitterness attacks the tongue in the beginning leading to an overlap of layers of fruityness, esters, guava, passionfruit, mango and guaraná. Incredible! Oily texture, medium carbonation, massive body, full mouthfeel. The huge amounts of alcohol do not disturb in the slightest. They just warm up your body. Outstanding IIPA.

12oz bottle pours with a hazy deep gold body that supports a thin white head. The aroma offers up lots of pineapple, mango and grapefruit amid a thin cloud of booze and a bit of lightly roasted malts. The taste delights with juicy pineapple and pink grapefruit hoppiness and then it quickly climbs into increasing levels of citrus hop bitterness and various malt sweetened citrus peel ‘zest’ like flavors. This is juicy and bitter and the ABV is massive and not all that noticeable. What a terrific hoppy sipper.

Smell of hops, some spruce. Hazy dark amber colour, small off-white head. Very strong aroma of hops, also alcohol, overripe fruit and spruce. Spruce in particular in finish. Very bitter, with a faint (surprisingly small) alcohol sweetness. Oily texture, heavy body.

I feel like it’s so long since I’ve had an Imperial IPA. Perfect mix of hips with some of the sweet that chines with a double.

Pours clear gold with white head. Aroma is very fruity and light pine. Flavor is heavy sweet, medium to heavy bitter, pine and fruity. Seems pretty straight forward to me. Good beer but lacks finesse. A bit out of balance too, perhaps?

Tap at devils advocate with commonmac. Goblet. Dark yellow with thick white head and good lacing. Heavy pine hop smell. Full bodied. Thick. Extremely long lasting floral hop taste. Mixed with some fuzzy clingy mouthfeel. Intense. Almost a meal or at least an alcohol drenched orange or peach. Very well made aggressive beer.

Pours hazy orange with thin white head. Taste is sugar and hops, red wine and a hint of grape. Heavy body, heavy carb. Way to sweet and way to heavy.
