COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
English: Did you like Before During and after Christmas? Maybe thought it pored brilliantly, the alcohol was admirable well hidden and you loved how the arrogant amount of hops numbed you. This beer will knock your tongue off, essentially due to the obscure amount of hops that went down this explosive fella – it’s a tour de force in hoppyness and by far the craziest beer ever made from Evil Twin – but not the last.

Yet another DFH120-lite IPA. I'm really not getting this. Past 9-10%, it's more of an exercise of how high ABV they can go. As with others in this ABV range (this one clocks in at 13), its quite syrupy, and quite resiny. When you overload hops, you are of course going to get a lot of hop notes. Would like to compare with this brewer's yin (or is it yang?); from memory, I'm getting the same flavor profile. B- ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Aroma: Intense citrus, grapefruit, floral... awesome... they should make deodorant that smells like this
Appearance: Slightly cloudy amber with thin white head.
Taste: I get very little bitterness, sweet, citrusy, with maybe a hint of lemon rind
Palate: Big mouthfeel, warming alcohol sensation
Overall: OMFG... alcohol is really well hidden, and the flavors are just awesome. I am not sure what I expected, but damn this is good. I wouldn’t want this as my first beer of the night, but my palate is not hurting from this big, yet well integrated beer.

Bottle from mari’s. Pours clear copper with a medium sized off white head. The aroma is caramel and hop resin. The taste is medium bitter and very easy to drink. This is crazy smooth. I cannot believe the alcohol level. Nice palate.

The Sampler, Brooklyn tap: Pours copper with a white head. Aroma is a whole lot of hops. Plenty of citrus and spicy flavors are present. Alas, alcohol is also quite noticeable in the aroma of this beer. Taste is quite hoppy. Sweetness is kept down low. Alcohol is not fully covered in the taste either. Surprisingly smooth. Good DIPA.

At first, kinda whatever. Super hoppy And bitter. A run of the mill, good DIPA. However, for 13% it's incredibly smooth an easy drinking. Not syrupy like other 10+ DIPAs. Good work for that. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

On tap at the local beer bar eureka. Pours dark copper orange with little head. Smells phenomenal of strawberry pineapple papaya and toffee Tastes super smooth of sweet caramel malty and little earthiness, spiciness, grapefruit. Would drink again.

Pours a deep golden color with a couple fingers of sticky foam. Pretty hot on the nose with booze and traces of grassy citrus. The palate follows but the alcohol burn is overwhelming for me. Lots of astringency and fusel notes with some citrus poking through as the bitterness over takes all senses. I get this is what may be intended but just don’t find the beer to be very enjoyable.

Bottled 6/25/13. Consumed 8//2/13. Pours a light amber color with a fluffy off-white head. Aroma is spicy, floral, grassy, pine, citrus, caramel, some bread and light alcohol burn. Taste is huge, bitter, highly flavorful; pine, citrus, grass, floral, caramelized lemon peel, some nice sweetness, just a touch of solvent; finish is surprisingly subtle, light pine and fruit rind. Beautiful lacing. Medium carbonation. Slick, oily mouth feel. The very high abv is not evident in the flavor profile. Great color, great flavor; great IPA. Well crafted.

Draft at blue monk. Copper cAramel pour. Big resiny, piney and citrusy aroma. Fuller bodied. Lots of bitterness, not as boozy as expected. Big and malty but hops are extremely active. Not a hop syrup like most 11%+ IIPA’s nice
