COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
English: Did you like Before During and after Christmas? Maybe thought it pored brilliantly, the alcohol was admirable well hidden and you loved how the arrogant amount of hops numbed you. This beer will knock your tongue off, essentially due to the obscure amount of hops that went down this explosive fella – it’s a tour de force in hoppyness and by far the craziest beer ever made from Evil Twin – but not the last.

Bottle from the De Molen shop, Bodegraven, Netherlands, 24.09.11 consumed at Woerden campsite sat outside Frank (camper) 26.09.11 Pours light amber, quite hazy, head has now long gone so not sure what it was like. Thick, heavy and loads of boozy marmalade in the mouth, seville orange, citrus with a sweet pithiness, but boozy marmalade keeps coming back. Aroma is quite nice, taste could be better but I think the alcohol sort of detracts a little. A7 A3 T7 P3 Ov14 3.4

Bottle, enjoyed @ Ølbutikken, Cph.
Pours hazy to clear yellow-golden with a big, creamy, white head. Aroma is surprisingly mild, some mild cucumber, citrus, peach. Low carbonation, very fat creamy mouthfeel. Flavour is quite sharply vinious, sweet, light malty, oranges. Mildly dry. A lot of alcohol that does feel that good. Despite a nice dry and bitter finish.

33cl, new exclusive Danish brew Anno 2011, thx to Jeppe!, complex bitter brew, fruity/sweet and slightly alcoholic, heavy, yet balanced, hazy, small head, good brew, yet expensive!

Poured hazy gold with a finger’s white head. Grassy hops and caramel flavored with grapefruit. Dry, medium bitter finish. This would make a good go-to beer if the option were available.

(Bottled, rated 2011-08-19) Hazy golden with a tiny head. Very grassy-hoppy nose with an evident but soft alcohol twist. Very bitter flavor - the hops attack even from behind the malty body and 13% ABV. Full-bodied, astringent palate, well hidden alcohol. Not exactly my favorite beer style, but as an overdosed hop-alcohol bomb, this is excellent. Also very clean, which is rare for the style.

Golden colour with a medium white head. Aroma of heavy hops, grass caramel and grape fruits. Taste of hops, alcohol and grape fruits with notes of pine needles. Warming alcoholic and dry hoppy finish.

Bottle from Ølbutikken. Pours light amber with a fair head forr a 13% beer. Aroma is malty sweetness, lots of caramel, hoppy bitterness, and alcohol. With these excessively hopped high abv beers, I often pick up notes of liquorice, as with this one. Taste is sweet, bitter alcoholic, all sorts of over the top. The hops are astringent and very bitter, and it’s very harsh to drink. No wonder if this beer was fun to make, but the overall impression is unbalanced and harsh. I like the more subtle style of Before, During and After Christmas

Pours deep gold into a snifter. Off-white head with medium retention recedes to hug rim. Hot alcohol and yeast aromas. Sharp bitter hot grapefruit and biscuit.

Bottle 330ml. @ The Danish Summer Gathering, TFODRBSG11.

Light unclear medium yellow colour with a large, frothy, good lacing, fully lasting, off-white to white head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, moderate to heavy hoppy, citrus, grapefruit, orange - citrus, peach, light pine. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and heavy bitter with a long duration, alcohol, dry. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20110820]
