COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
English: Did you like Before During and after Christmas? Maybe thought it pored brilliantly, the alcohol was admirable well hidden and you loved how the arrogant amount of hops numbed you. This beer will knock your tongue off, essentially due to the obscure amount of hops that went down this explosive fella – it’s a tour de force in hoppyness and by far the craziest beer ever made from Evil Twin – but not the last.

tectactoe (2330) - Michigan, USA - SEP 6, 2014
UPDATED: NOV 7, 2014 Bottle: Thick, golden pour. Syrupy looking body. Slightly soapy, foamy off-white head caps this one off. Aroma is very sweet & pungent. Hop oils, alcohol, resin, onion, pineapple, dankness, ashy notes, simple syrup. Kind of muddled & all over the place. Taste is exceedingly sweet. Simple syrupy, residual sugar, honey, & fruit juice. Pineapple, mango... but not in a good way. Crowded with ashy, herbal hoppage, hop resin, hemp oil. With some time, it settles down a bit, but it’s still WAY too sweet. Flavor isn’t necessarily terrible, but the sweetness wears me down quickly. Tough to finish this bottle. Sticky, heavy, syrupy mouth feel. Extremely strange brew.

Luxurious knock-out that demonstrates Evil Twins gutsy, take-no-prisoners approach to crafting beer.

ben4321 (4094) - Hoboken, New Jersey, USA - SEP 2, 2014
Location: Draft at Croxley’s Ale House, 9/2/14

Aroma: The aroma is strong hops, lots of pine, with a strong malt presence and booze too
Appearance: Pours a cloudy dark orange color with a beige head and light lace
Flavor: The flavor is much the same, plenty of malt, strong bitterness, and strong booze
Palate: The body is full, with a thick, somewhat sticky feel, and a long, hot, dry finish
Overall Impression: This is a big beer. There’s a lot here, but it certainly isn’t overly drinkable. The high ABV makes it difficult to drink much more than one. It is a nice beer though.

Atlanta, Ga. - Hop City - 12 oz bottle. Slightly murky dark orange pour with a very light off- white head. Aroma of fruit cocktail, some brown sugar. Flavor is fruit forward with some canned fruit cocktail, some rock candy-like sweetness, some brown sugar goodness, a touch of cookie dough. Mouthfeel is thick and rich

Bottle from Jane’s Beer Store, Mountain View. Surprisingly unboozy aroma of fruit, pine, and resin. Beers like this make you distrust the abv on the bottle. Boozy but surprisingly smooth. Very bitter finish. Taste is generally sweet with great juicy citrus bite.

Pours a cloudy dark amber brew with a big white head with regular to poor retention, aroma is heavy sweet and moderate to heavy bitter with caramel, alcohol, grapefruit and orange, full bodied, flavor is heavy bitter and heavy sweet with a bittersweet finish and a very long and bitter aftertaste. Crazy ipa but too sweet.

12oz bottle from The Beer Shoppe (Ardmore PA). Pours a cloudy deep orange color with a finger of foamy off white head. Aroma is strong caramel malt, sugary citrus, marzipan, rye spice, and booze. Taste syrupy malt, old citrus skins, rye spices, and pine sap. Can’t make out the date on the bottle, but this doesn’t seem too fresh.

jmgreenuk (4980) - The Hague, NETHERLANDS - AUG 27, 2014
Bottle at the Beer Temple, Amsterdam. Poured a hazy medium amber with little life. The aroma is woody resin hop, boozy alcohol. The flavour is strong bitter with a boozy alcohol hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with soft carbonation. It’s all about the alcohol...completely overpowering. One has to ask why?

kermis (5743) - The Hague, NETHERLANDS - AUG 27, 2014
Bottle shared at Beer temple. Pours hazy golden orange with a ring off white head. Aroma of grapefruit, citrus, cheesy hops, intense orange. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter. Medium to full bodied with soft carbonation. Too extreme.

JulienHuxley (3480) - Hilversum, NETHERLANDS - AUG 27, 2014
Bottle shared at BeerTemple with jmgreenuk and kermis. Hazy amber pour with no head. Aroma is hoppy, boozy, really fruity strong booze soaked fruits. Taste is really boozy, intensely hoppy, boozy but without the burn, for a style I don’t appreciate much this is pretty Ok. Palate is rich and warming, with good carbonation. Decent.
