3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
On tap @ Original Gravity Public House. Burnt tangerine pour with a 1/4 inch eggshell foam. Aroma of candied citrus, evergreen resin, caramel and alcohol. Flavor shows orange peel, ripe tropical fruits, piney hops, honey-baked biscuit, and again, alcohol. The ABV is definitely noticeable but wasn’t overpowering. Nice brew.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
On draught at Apex. Dark orange golden color. Aroma is caramelized hop, spicy, piney nectarine. Taste starts sweet, with caramel and orange, then becomes a little spiced and tropical, and finished with pine, grass, citrus, and hoppy astringency. Hoppy tickle on the finish.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Draft. Pours orange with a thin white head. Fruity hops and booze up front, medium resiny notes, lightly sweet malts, and a nice bitter hoppy finish. A little heavy and boozy for my taste, but otherwise pretty good.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Aroma is grapefruit/pine, strong citrus zest and hop resin. The flavor is grapefruit, strong hop resin, citrus, malts in the background and among the most bitterness I’ve ever throughout and into the finish.

Taste sweet caramel and toffee malts. loads of resinous hops. Creamy smooth texture. So easy to drink. Hard to believe it’s 13%, but it definitely will put you on your ass. Heaven in a glass.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Yet another DFH120-lite IPA. I'm really not getting this. Past 9-10%, it's more of an exercise of how high ABV they can go. As with others in this ABV range (this one clocks in at 13), its quite syrupy, and quite resiny. When you overload hops, you are of course going to get a lot of hop notes. Would like to compare with this brewer's yin (or is it yang?); from memory, I'm getting the same flavor profile. B-

4.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
Aroma: Intense citrus, grapefruit, floral... awesome... they should make deodorant that smells like this
Appearance: Slightly cloudy amber with thin white head.
Taste: I get very little bitterness, sweet, citrusy, with maybe a hint of lemon rind
Palate: Big mouthfeel, warming alcohol sensation
Overall: OMFG... alcohol is really well hidden, and the flavors are just awesome. I am not sure what I expected, but damn this is good. I wouldn’t want this as my first beer of the night, but my palate is not hurting from this big, yet well integrated beer.
