Clear dark brown colour with a average, frothy, good - fair lacing, mostly lasting, beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, caramel, brew mash ! brown sugar - candy, moderate yeasty, phenol - alcohol, yeast, sweet candy yeast. Flavour is heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a long duration, burnt caramel - malt sugar, yeast. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. IMO to sweet and sugary for me .. [20110820]

Bottled. A dark red beer with a tan head. The aroma has notes of berries, malt, candy sugar, and over ripe fruits. The flavor is very sweet with notes of candy sugar, malt, dried fruits, and a bit of yeast, leading to a dry finish, where the alcohol tickles the tongue lightly.

50 cL bottle. Pours dark brown, hazy, with a small, shortlived tan head. Aroma is roasted caramelish to toffee/breadish malty, light fruity yeasty and sugarish sweet flavorued. Sweet, yet not as bad as expected. Light quad-yeasty profile - like a mix between dark Belgian and Westy12. Smooth malty, yeasty and brown sugarish finish.

Botte 50 cl. Courtesy of Meilby. Pours a hazy amber with a small off-white head. Sweet aroma of caramel, overripe fruit and Belgian yeast. Solid body, carbonation is a little low, brown sugars, overripe plummy fruit and a subtle yeastiness. Warming alcohol in the finish. Very pleasant Belgian style ale - almost a mini-Quad. 131011

Bottle @ Danish Summer Gathering, Ulfborg 2011. Pours dark ruby amber with a small creamy head. Dark sugar, caramel, rye and vague yeast. Smooth and full bodied. Sweet, sticky and syrupy. Lack vinousness and complexity. BUT pretty tasty anyhow.
