Nomads; constantly moving, íround and íround; sometimes settle, if just for a bit. Perhaps the muse moves one to brew a sharp and clean session beer, one inspired by the Berliner-weisse of old, and the nomad rests. Enjoy this beer, here, there, perhaps north of Madison Square Park, in lovely New York City. Wherever you are, this beer was made nice, simply for you.

I didnít read the label closely and thought that it was a regular Weisse/Wheatbeer. So I was a little surprised at the funky sourness! But then I took a closer look at the label, and it all made sense. This is a really nice version of style thatís not easy to find. Iíll definitely get this again.

Brewed at Westbrook, and tastes very similar to the Westbrook Gose. Must be why I liked this so much! Pours a fairly clear golden color with a medium fluffy white head. Aroma of grass, straw, some citrus, and funk. Taste was the same with it being nice and tart, sour, and salty. Light body and crisp and refreshing. Excellent beer.

Canned. Pours a hazy grapefruit-like light orangina color. Aroma is citrus and wheat. Lots of orange and citrus. Flavor is lambic-like sourness. Itís ok, I just wasnít expecting it. I have never had a berliner weisse before. If this is the style then ok, but itís different for me. If I was expecting it, I think I wouldíve enjoyed it more.

12 oz. can. It pours an orange color with an off white head. The aroma is fruity with peaches and lemon. Tart fruit candy and a little bread. The flavor has a nice, pleasant tartness and a big body for the style. Mild sour mash lactic funk. Peachy, stone fruit finish. Strange for a Berliner Weisse but pretty enjoyable.

Amazing beer guys, if this is your style go find some! Great aroma, and color. The beer is crisp and light and has the right amount of funk! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Can: Cloudy, pale yellow with a minimal white head. Wheat, lactic malt, citrus aroma. Flavour is crisp and tart, melon, lemon, white grape, yeast.... Sharp, sour, clean...slightly salty. Excellent.

Pours a hazy yellow from the can with bubbly white head that leaves light lace. Aroma of tart fruits, hint of wheat. Taste is nice Berliner, sweet, tart, good lactic sour over the malt. Lingering tartness in the nose, but quick on the mouth, very nice. Pricey, but very good.

Can shared in NYC - big thanks to Sandman. Pours cloudy pale yellow with a flimsy white cream. Tart ripe citrus fruit nose, some stone fruits, mild funk. Light to medium sweet flavor with rich, gooey peach, some melon, ripe lemon. Light bodied with fine, spritzy carbonation. Clean on the finish with refreshing citric tartness, further peach, some white grape, melon, light salt. Lovely stuff.

New Beer Distributors, NYC 12 ounce can: Pours dirty golden with a very quickly disappearing head. Aroma is lemon and funky yeast. Taste is lemon and there is plenty of sourness. This is quite nice. A little bit of sweetness. Pretty good.

Can: Murky, Bose pear colored body with a soda-like, chunky white head that fizzles into nothingness in about ten seconds flat. Aroma of soured wheat, dusty lemon flesh, some sweaty grain funkiness, tart green apple, & faint peach. Nice flavor, big wheat body. Sour sweet-tart & lemon candy flavor with hints of green apple & peach candy rings. Citric, sour finish with a soft bit of must & dusty wheat. Small, very faint hint of popcorn kernel in the distant aftertaste. Mostly dry, light overall; just like the style should be. I cannot get Westbrook Gose where I live, sadly. This will be itís substitute. No, itís not as great, but itís still a really tasty, tart, quenching, light sour ale in a can. That I can get off the shelf. Win?
