Congratulations, you have just managed to get your hands on Russian Roulette - a rare kind of collaboration between Evil Twin Brewing (Denmark) and OMNIPOLLO (Sweden).

This beer would best be described as an IPA with a twist. A twist that will reveal itself first after you "bust some caps".

One thing remains sure however, if you like hops and the lush texture of a well crafted beer this will have you smiling as you face your destiny.

Good luck,
Jeppe (Evil Twin Brewing) and Henok (OMNIPOLLO)

500 ml bottle. Black body with a big, creamy beige head. Aroma has dark malt, coffee, citric fruit and pine. Flavor is sweet, not very roasted dark malt, quite bitter, citric fruit, pine and a bit rustic in aftertaste. Fine body and very pleasant all the way really.

Bottle. A dense beige head leaves lacings. More or less black body, looking really good. The aroma is lightly roasted, with some chocolate. Green pine cones too. Roasted and bitter flavor with pine cones, citruspeel and some chocolate and coffee. Full-bodied and soft on the palate, and with a roasted and quite bitter finish. A nice Black IPA I could certainly drink more of, but Iíd still prefer it less roasted. 121116

50 cl Bottle. Pours dark brown/black with a cherry coloured edge and a chunky tan head. Pretty lively. Floral, rosewater, perfumy, tropical fruit, veg aroma. Nice... Medium to light body, fine carbonation. Good balance of sweet ipa flavours and darker malts. Citrusy lemon and grapefruit as well as some pineapple sit alongside bitter coffee, a touch of choc and a little treacle toffee. Sizeable bitterness and itís dry. Nice.

Bottle: Served in a Duvel glass: Thanks PapsÝ: Medium to bigger sized ashy beige light brown foamy head, changes slowly, on top of a black colored beer. Aromas of roasted malts, soap, hop citrus, yeast, some sweat, some manure, hint of lemon, dust. Flavours of bitters, liquorice, resin, roast, grapefruit, some resin and raisin... Super liquorice and bitter! Aftertaste is strong and lingering bitter with some herbs, strong liquorice, floral and grass. Strong aftertaste. Low carbo, soft creamy mouthfeel, medium to lightly fuller body and a creamy texture. Great label. Decent beer but the bitternes dominates everything. Bit out of control...

Opaque black beer, big pale tan-cream head. Airy crisp palate. Minerals. Smooth smooth dark malt. Semi sweet pine and a little candy fruits. Whisper of sherbet and a touch of Parma Violets sweets. Well buried is a trace of coffee. A little orange on the back end and a dash of lime. Finishes semi dry with a piney bitter linger. A complex and tasty black ipa.

Pours black with a brown head and aroma of roasted malt and hops. Taste is bitter, lots of hops, citrus, roasted malt, and lig caramel with a heavy bitter, dry finish. Very bitter, delicious black IPA

Pours a dark black color with a huge java colored head. Nose is full of hops and pine, with some nice sweetness. Taste is bitter and hoppy with a resinous quality. Finish is bitter and lingers with the same flavors. Quaff Score 7 / 10

Black pour, producing a large creamy head. Aroma is resiny, peppery and medicinal. Taste is medicinal bitterness with hints of roast towards the finish. Bottle has been on a shelf for well over a year, and I suspect this is the reason for this.

Bottle, shared with Bergen Beer Geek Tasting Crew. Pours a pitch black body with a big off-white foamy head. Nose is mild fruity grassy hop tones, hints of licorice and herbal mints. Taste is medicinal strong grassy hops up front, to the point of unpleasantness. The aftertaste saves the beer somewhat, with nice tones of licorice and leather. Medium to full body, medium to fizzy carbonation. Weird, and not to my liking.

Bottle. Hazy blackish pour, with a light tan head. Very bitter, bitter herbal hops, light roast, specialty malt, bitter unripe coffee beans, and lightly earthy. The bitterness hangs on the palate for minutes. Itís kinda of one noted and disjointed, but I still somewhat enjoyed it.
