Bottle at home. Hazy orange coloured with a small white head. Sweet and fruity aroma of caramel, hops and pine needles. Fruity flavour of hops, citrus, caramel, licorice, yeast and grapefruits. Dry hoppy finish.

Sediments and a nice opacity improve the looking of this beer. The aroma is very weak, maybe with rustic and yeasty hints. Nevertheless, the mouthfeel is much better, with a piney touch well balanced with a biscuit-like malts. Astringent and somehow refreshing. Good stuff.

Bottled. Hazy golden colour, small white head. Aroma is fruity, floral, grassy and herbal along with some toffee as well. Flavour is similar in a quite nice balance. A quite earthy and bready aftertaste.

Review based on the BJCP2008 guidelines (style 14A). Bottle 33 cl - Batch unknown. AROMA: notes of fruits (passion fruit) mixed with a faint resin and piny aroma, all with a malty, bready and dried grapes background. low floral notes. APPEARANCE: orange color with a lot of material in suspension. slight ivory and average moussy head with good retention. TASTE: unbalanced sweet malty background with very faint hop notes. high bitterness that lingers beyond a medium-sweet finish. PALATE: medium-low body with medium carbonation. OVERALL: an unbalanced IPA, with too much malt presence. altough its high bitterness it has a residual sweetness in the aftertaste.

33cl bottle @ home from De Molen. Clear to hazy golden orange body, big fizzy off-white mostly diminishing good lacing head. Nose is fruits and malt, Aroma is hops, caramel, quinie, licorice, light roasted malt, more hops. Taste light sweetness, medium to heavy hoppy bitterness, hint of sourness. Medium to full body, oily texture, average carbonation, long lasting hoppy bitter finish. Refreshing, great IPA.

from Erzbierschof - cloudy dark orange beer with no foam left; candied fruits, caramel, litchies and herbs; somehow chemical; a good malt backbone, very sweet, fizzy herbal and caramelish aftertaste with notes of honey - not really convincing

Quite floral and grassy for an IPA. I was expecting more citrus bitterness. But itís smooth and heavy - well brewed as you expect from evil twin.

From keg at Craft Beer Co Clerkenwell at Jack & Leightonís Birthday Bash on 13 April 2013. Rather cloudy orange appearance. Strong leafy hop character, definitely herbaceous and slightly herbal, in the aroma. Rather sweet on the palate - too sweet for me - with a sort of cookie dough feel. Gives me the impression of some additive other than normal IPA ingredients but Iím canít identify what. Finishes both bitter and sweet. Ends up OK but not one of my favourite Evil Twins.

Pours hazy amber with white head. Aroma is hoppy with citrus, tropical fruit and peach. Flavour a little malty, and nicely hoppy with notes of citrus, grapefruit and tropical fruits.
