Tap at Ølbutikken. Pours brown brown with a tan head. Aroma is roasted malt, a little coffee and hops and distinct notes of berries especially strawberries. Flavour is similar to real English liquorice with notes of bitter hops, coffee and sweet black currant. Very pleasant and interesting brew.

Draught @ Ungstrups. Thx for sharing. Almost pitch Black coloured. Dense Brown head. Aroma of roast, chocolate, liqourice, sweetness, and some Spice. Chocolate, roast, berries, vague coffee and light Spice in the flavour. Medium to full bodied. Chocolaty and roasty bitterness in the end. Nice.

Long distance draft - thanks Jeppe. A dark brown beer with a bit of brown shine under a huge dark brown head. The aroma has strong notes of berries - strawberries and more as well as medium notes of roasted malt and light notes of chocolate. The flavor is rather sweet with strong notes of roasted malt and berries - now I think raspberries dominates. The roasted malt lingers and turns almost burnt, while the raspberries also carries thru all the way to the end, where a note of dark chocolate appears together with the alcohol. The finish is dry, slightly burnt, and alcoholic.

Handbottle. Pours dark brown to black with a small tan head. Aroma is dark roasted malt and crisp strawberry/jam fruity. Quite distinct strawberry fruity with a dark roasted malt note underneath. Lingering dark and overripe fruity. Lasting dry strawberry flavoured into the far finish.

Hand bottle 50 cl. Pours an opaque black with a beige head. The nose has hard roasted malts and licorice with a whiff of blackcurrant. Medium body, hard roasted malts and LOADS of licorice with an underlying whiff of blackcurrant. There’s little traces of the added strawberries. The finish has massive malt bitterness. 010910
