On tap at Bad Apple..pours a hazy golden straw brown, slightly transparent, and topped with a fluffy white head that eventually subsides... aroma has a soft dusting of brett, somewhat floral, combining with pineapple and softer degrees of tropical fruit. a faint hint of tartness emerges on the backend... flavors follow suit with a spicy yeast forefront, somewhat of a grassy bitterness through the middle, subtle brett, and a faint tart pithy mild bitterness. mouthfeel is fluffy and body is just shy of medium. drinks pretty good.

500ml bottle. Clear pale golden colour with average frothy unstable white head. Fresh fruity and slightly floral aroma, orange, raspberry, banana. Taste starts prickling sweet complemented by a citrus note. The middle part is governed by dryer notes with the citrus still in background. In the end some silky sweetness flashes up and gives way to a bitter finish. Very subtle and tender composition.

Bottle. Hazy orange with a thick egg shell white head. Nose shows some cotton candy, light brett, a bit of citrus zest, yeasty phenols. Flavor is light sweetness, medium to heavy bitterness. Not really what I was expecting. I wanted to sit on this to let the brett develop some more but I also just wanted to drink it so I am. Maybe I should have waited after all. Kinda disjointed in the flavor with the sweetness and heavy bitterness clashing a bit and none of the brett in the nose shows up in flavor. A little bit of cooked vegetables shows up as well. WTF. Disappointing. Good thing I know who brewed it (or at least played a part in it) so I can slap him in the balls next time I see him. Don’t worry Jeppe, it’s not you.

Bottle pour at Erzbierschof. Pours a cloudy golden with a white head. Smells like a triple, Belgian yeast, clove, banana. Tastes acidic, medium sweetness, tiny bitter, some sourness. Medium-full body, very carbonated, creamy texture. Finishes acidic, semi dry. Not a favorite...

500mL bottle, pours a cloudy golden yellow with a small white head. Aroma of brett upfront, lots of barnyard funk and citrus zest. Flavour of brett, lemon rind, some sweetness and oranges. Very drinkable and thirst quenching. Finishes with oranges and brent.

05-NOV-2011, bottle @home, from "Ølbutikken". Unclear golden with lasting white and very fine head. Lemon and vanilla with herbs and orange. Yeasty but not overly herbal. Still not a saison lover but this is a fine onw.. Just a little tart - or more citric. Refreshing. Medium carbonation and very creamy. Fine.

From tap @Schouskjelleren, Oslo. Shiny white, foamy head. Body is cloudy pale gold. Doughy white bread aroma. Whiffs of citrus fruits with a spicy bite. Refreshing funked up lemon flavor. Brief and clean bitterness. Mild spices all the way throughout. Nicely sharp mouthfeel. Bone dry finish. Not much depth, but utterly refreshing. Nice one.

Svesse (7501) - Hässelby, SWEDEN - MAR 7, 2012
(Draught at Mikkeller Bar, Copenhagen, 18 Feb 2012) Hazy golden colour with frothy, white head. Fruity, spicy nose with notes of citrus, lemon peel, grass and hints of wild yeast. Fruity, malty taste with citrus, pineapple, peaches, grassy hops and a spicy, funky yeast touch. More than medium body, with just a touch of sweetness. Tasty and quite spicy, but still in excellent balance. Very nice saison.
