Bottle pour from Sergiy, nice wine barrel nose. Nothing stands out being of saison character. In flavor there is wine, caramel and even some wood character somewhat cherry like.

330ml bottle from 16th liquor store, tasted at Brian’s. Pours a slightly hazy golden with a white head. Aroma is wine barrels (with even some cherry notes), slightly floral and spicy. Taste is slightly hoppy, wine barrels, some caramel. Same character aftertaste. The only thing from Saison in this beer is some floral notes in aroma and some hoppines in the taste. Though the beer is amazing.

Rating #1443 - 17.01.2015 - Bottle from CBI Pours a hazy straw colour with a frothy white head and lots of lace. Aroma is funky, red wine vinegar, farmhouse yeast. Clean mouthfeel, medium carbonation, mild alcohol warmth. Taste is a crisp sweetness, tempered with herbal notes, mild pepperiness, pronounced sourness from the yeast. Another awesome funky saison.

Aroma is soured grape, vinegar, sweet malts, honey , clove and funk. Taste is sweet malts , funk and sour Noyes that finish quite smoothly. Appearance is a cloudy yellow with a thin pearl head that retains fairly well.

Bottle. Pours a very slightly hazy golden yellow with a foamy off-white head. Clumpy lacing follows. Wine-forward aroma that lets a little floral hops and orange peel through. Flavor is similarly wine-heavy, with orange zest and a little biscuit-y malt in the background. Finishes dry and with a little hop bite. Presents more like a hopped cider than a saison for me.

UPDATED: DEC 15, 2015 Hazy golden color with off-white, creamy head. The wine notes really pop up in the aroma. Taste has also a lot of wine and barrel character. Also a bit of tartness to balance the alcohol which is a bit too present. But overall this was a really nice surprise for me.

Bottle (12 oz). From kbudd19, thanks!

Appearance: Almost clear bright golden with a small quickly fading white head that leaves little lacing.

Aroma: Red wine, perfume notes, oak, musty notes and herbal/grassy presence.

Taste: Vanilla forward with red wine, oak, musty notes, herbal presence and light alcohol.

Palate: Medium body. Moderate carbonation. A tad oily mouthfeel. Oaky finish. A tad warming too.

Overall: I have mixed feelings about this one. It’s quite tasty, but it lacks direction and the barrel treatment, even if it’s not overpowering, seems to hide almost complexty what I think is a rather weak base beer. Decent.

UPDATED: DEC 14, 2014 Bottle from BD Brum, at RichTheVillan’s 27/11/13. Slightly hazy straw coloured pour, white head fades. Nose of red wine, raspberries, funk, spice. Tastes light sweet then dry, vinous acidic, tannic bitterness, cherry, slight vanilla oak. This is delicious.
