COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

English: In Denmark we have a lovely tradition for seasonal beer, and what you have here is certainly no exception. This is a never before seen collaboration between Ryan and the Beaster Bunny. A fluffy and precious Saison brewed on the beautiful island of Fanø on the west coast of Denmark. It may sound like a true fairytale, but don’t be fooled by it’s cute appearance.
Ingredienser: vand, malt, humle, gær.

Editor’s note: initially brewed by Fanø in Denmark

Hazy gold pour with a 2 finger, bright white head. Aroma is spicy, peppery yeast, citrus, tart tree and stone fruit, light minerality and nice, sweet floral notes. Flavor starts off with spicy yeast, cereal, bready malt, grass, pepper doughy yeast, then lots of citrus and floral hops come in along with some spiciness toward the slightly bitter finish. Light to medium body with an oily but dry entry, dry finish and medium strength, sharp and blanketing carbonation that suit the beer very nicely. Really good. I usually end up wishing that most stronger Saisons were a little less so, but with the balance leaning more toward the hoppy side, and still having a solid, but not overbearing yeast presence I think this one is right where it needs to be.

A steady pour into my teku glass produces a pale tan colored head that is three fingers in height. The beer is a nice gold color that shows a brilliantly clear, bright gold hue when held up to the light. The aroma has a nice hoppiness to it that is a bit herbal and a touch lemon like with a straw like aroma and a touch of cracker like grain, as well as a solid yeast character that is a bit musty, has a phenolic like spiciness, and an earth quality.

Lightly sweet tasting, but with a spicy finish that considerably dries things out. The sweetness is really brought out by a clove like spiciness which brings out a touch of honey like character, which in turn is accentuated by an herbal, wildflower like character, and a peppery note in the finish. There is a nice bitterness to this beer, as well as a nice lemon like hoppiness, and much of the herbal / wildflower notes are accentuated by the hop character. The body is nice and light, without being watery, and in fact has a light texture to it.

This is a nice Saison, it has a solid hoppiness to it, and a solid yeast character to it that strikes a nice, Saison like balance.

A reddish spiced saison with a crisp white head. It is poppy on the nose with spices and caramel. The body is medium but carries its own with food.
