English: In Denmark we have a lovely tradition for seasonal beer, and what you have here is certainly no exception. This is a never before seen collaboration between Ryan and the Beaster Bunny. A fluffy and precious Saison brewed on the beautiful island of Fanø on the west coast of Denmark. It may sound like a true fairytale, but don’t be fooled by it’s cute appearance.
Ingredienser: vand, malt, humle, gær.

Editor’s note: initially brewed by Fanø in Denmark

Hazy golden coloured body with a two centimetre tal off-white head. Aroma of grass, hay and very light hops. Light to Medium-bodied; Very noticeable yeast flavours with some corn, coriander seed, grass and hay, all with a touch of hops. Aftertaste is quite a bit pungent with the yeast by far the strongest, showing a touch of alcohol, fruits and even more light spices. Overall, a decent beer at best showing mostly saisony flavours with not a great balance nor depth - still okay to sample, but not worth trying to find this one - the hype/label is beyond enough. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from Southern Season in Charleston, South Carolina for US$2,79 on 19-April-2015 sampled a day later in my hotel room here in Charleston, South Carolina on 20-April-2015.

Bottle. Nose is floral, herbal, very dry yeast note, bread, slight funk. Taste is light funk leading to very dry herbal notes, green hop bitterness, slight lime rind, lots of pepperiness, and a hint of spice. It’s a nice saison with a surprisingly bitter hop profile.

Bottle at home. I kind of avoiding drinking saison. Anyways, here I go. Floral and herbal, moderately sweet and very malty. Spicy pepper finish.

March 28, 2015 - taster pour at the Rare Beer Fest in St. Paul. Cloudy yellow pour with head. Pretty good saison, nice change of pace from all the BA beers.
