English: In Denmark we have a lovely tradition for seasonal beer, and what you have here is certainly no exception. This is a never before seen collaboration between Ryan and the Beaster Bunny. A fluffy and precious Saison brewed on the beautiful island of Fanø on the west coast of Denmark. It may sound like a true fairytale, but don’t be fooled by it’s cute appearance.
Ingredienser: vand, malt, humle, gær.

Editor’s note: initially brewed by Fanø in Denmark

Bottle from Craftissimo at home. Hazy yellow pour with dense head. Aroma is interesting - lemon, pepper, peach, yeasty. Taste is saison-y. With more brightness - peach and peppery spice. Rounded out by malty (?) sweetness. Bubbly smoothness. Bitter finish. Good saison - would probably be good with lamb or other earthy foods.

On tap @ 10 East - I was really digging this one on a beautiful Saturday afternoon. Honey aroma, crisp apples, grass clippings, Belgian-y esters with just a slight tangyness to it. Spice/yeast content was well balanced, light, clean bitterness from beginning to end with a refreshing grassy bitterness to enjoy. I’m usually not a huge fan of saisons but this was easy to enjoy.

Pours a light clear golden with a lacy off white head. Nose is really gentle banana, a slight bit of funk, but really slight. Flavor is more really soft banana, just the barest suggestion of tartness, a little hint of funk on the late palate, and then a really smooth transition to a dry finish with a little bitter spice, a little biscuit, a little peach. Mouthfeel is really really silky and smooth. This is simply perfect execution. There’s nothing outrageous going on flavor wise, but all the flavors are very confident without being flashy, and the beer holds together immensely well. Just excellent.

12oz bottle code reads 189:14 so I think this should be fresh. Hazy bubbly yellow with chunks of sediment floating around and a white foamy head. Smells quite lemony with a little Belgian yeast and spice in the aroma. Has a nice mouth-feel light on carbonation despite appearance, light bodied but somewhat creamy maybe from the frothy head that continues to stay.Taste mostly lemony with faint spice. Not bad but real disappointing as this was expensive.

[9/28/14] Draught at Beer Temple in Amsterdam. Golden with a white head. Fruity aroma with quite a bit of diacetyl. Flavor has some sweetish diacetyl, fruitiness and a bitter finish. Medium-bodied.

Pours a bright yellow with lots of bubbles and a foamy white head. Aroma is lemon. Flavor is lemon, some wheat/bread. The bottle I had was flat, though it was also about nine months old. Still, not too bad.

It pours a golden colour with a big white head that leaves good lacing. Aroma wise, its citrus with floral notes mainly. Taste wise its similar to the aroma with a dry hoppy finish. The mouthfeel is medium with average carbonation. Overall a very refreshing beer.

1 pt 0.9 fl. oz. bottle @ home from De Molen. Body is clear yellow to cloudy golden orange to hazy light brown. Head is extremely large, fizzy and rocky, off-white, fully lasting and even further growing for more minutes, excellent lacing. Nose is grape, caramel, floral, Aroma is licorice, caramel, roasted malt, cereal, hops, more hops. Taste light sweetness, medium to heavy bitterness. Medium body, oily texture, soft carbonation, long lasting hoppy bitter finish. Refreshing, easy to drink, simple, delicious, later quite IPA-ish.

"Started off a little ho hum in the nose, especially compared to the ron and the beast ryan awesomeness. But, it opened up nicely to become a nice lightly funky and peppery fruity peachy brew. A little understated, but that’s ok. "
