COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

English: In Denmark we have a lovely tradition for seasonal beer, and what you have here is certainly no exception. This is a never before seen collaboration between Ryan and the Beaster Bunny. A fluffy and precious Saison brewed on the beautiful island of Fanø on the west coast of Denmark. It may sound like a true fairytale, but don’t be fooled by it’s cute appearance.
Ingredienser: vand, malt, humle, gær.

Editor’s note: initially brewed by Fanø in Denmark

On tap at Blue Monk. Hoppy, yeasty, decent drinkability. Several beers like this available now.

Bottle. Holy wow this thing is lively! Incredibly gassy pour generates a mountain of foam that collapses into a chunky raft. Hay, funk, grass, pepper. Good. BURP

Bottle from Pibar, Lausanne; bottled 06/21/13
Hazy golden color with small head. The spicy aroma has difficulties to develop; it’s nice but too mild, with sweet orange peel. Smooth mouthfeel; the spicy character is excellent, sharp and powerful, one of the best; strong bitterness, tickling the tongue, with a moderately fruity final.
Very good.

Hazy light straw gold with a thin foamy white head. Nose is the epitome of sour and funk, with notes of tart lemon zest, hay, barn bacteria, a suscon of thai red pepper and apple cider vinegar. The flavor has loads of wheat with a dusty background and coriander note, a touch bactilic with little or no sourness throughout, also missing any and all lemon notes from the nose as well. Big pilsen malt and wheat body with a touch of funk and hay. That’s all. Not so beastly.

Yellow, clear with nice white head. Strong fruty aroma, apricot banana. Fruit banana mild malt. Strong metalic aftertaste that grows. The metal is a bit to much.

Some citrus and a little light hay and funk. Pours golden clear with good head and lacing. Finishes with light sour tang. Average carbonation. Some light florals and Belgian yeast. Bottle from premier gourmet.

Taught strainy straw cloudy body with an initialy bright white dissipating to ringed head. Soft spritzy peach, drought dry hay wallowed farmyard nose. Episodes of gingerbread and elderflower later. Rich creamy lemon, responding to the dumbed saison carbonation well with a wheaty qualified middle. Itchy, tippy toe approach to the finish, Yeasty enough. Tinselly linger. Not really that bad, but different rather than satisfying.

Smak och doft av humle, malt, citron, jäst, citrus, gräs, örter, mandarin med toner av honung, peppar, banan och pommerans. Lagom söt med en tydlig örtig beska med inslag av maskros.

Bottle from Total Wine in Boca Raton, FL. Poured into my snifter at home. Golden-pale in color with a haziness. One finger fluffy white head. Solid thick lacing throughout. Aroma of barnyard funk, sourdough bread, pears, apples, and pasture. The taste is complex with yeasts, fresh hops for fruits and funk, fresh alfalfa hay, pears, apples. Has a lot of carbonation for a slight dry champagne finish. Crisp and refreshing. Light body. Finishes a little funky and sour. LOVE IT!
