COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

English: In Denmark we have a lovely tradition for seasonal beer, and what you have here is certainly no exception. This is a never before seen collaboration between Ryan and the Beaster Bunny. A fluffy and precious Saison brewed on the beautiful island of Fanø on the west coast of Denmark. It may sound like a true fairytale, but don’t be fooled by it’s cute appearance.
Ingredienser: vand, malt, humle, gær.

Bottle from Proof. Clear golden pour with a rocky white head. Herbal, spicy aroma with pale wheat grain starchiness with a piney hop presence. Herbal and grass up front on the tongue with sweet grains mid palate and a spicy yeast ending. Medium bodied and moderate to high carbonation. Not too shabby.

On tap at Beer Junction. Pours a nice hazy straw-orange with a medium white head. Aroma of grains, yeast, mild grassy hops. Flavor is lightly bitter with some mild yeasty funk, grainy, a little bit of citrus fruit. Light and dry. Very drinkable. A very nice Saison.

500ml brown bottle. Yellow pour, hazy with a few dark flecks. Huge white head, very foamy, creamy and still. Lots of messy lacing. Nose has a faint funk, some bread and grain, a little sweetness, light spice and hay and citrus. Taste has a bit of a sweet start, some orange peel, hay, grains and grass. Finishes with lingering yeast and grassy bitterness and just an undercurrent of funk from the yeast. Pretty effervescent. Solid saison.

Sampled at TWCP Beer Fest 2013. It poured a golden color with a white head. The aroma was of peach, grapefruit, pineapple and some malts. The taste was sweet and fruity with some grapefruit and kiwi. It had a medium body and average carbonation. Very good.

Whole Foods, Bowery 12oz ($4): Pours golden with small white head. Aroma is sugar, yeast, farmhouse funk, and a substantial fruitiness. Taste is funky, with a small bit of bitterness. Has a rather bready finish. Some slightly hoppy aftertaste. Very easy to drink, but with plenty of off-beat complexity. I like it.

12oz bottle from newly released 4pks. Pours a rich golden color with two finger of sticky white foam. On the nose its got some fruit esters of pear, stale hay, yeasty spice and a touch of grass. The palate follows the nose nicely with great mouthfeel and a proper level of carbonation. Lots of esters and balanced spice that dries out in the finish.
