English: In Denmark we have a lovely tradition for seasonal beer, and what you have here is certainly no exception. This is a never before seen collaboration between Ryan and the Beaster Bunny. A fluffy and precious Saison brewed on the beautiful island of Fanø on the west coast of Denmark. It may sound like a true fairytale, but don’t be fooled by it’s cute appearance.
Ingredienser: vand, malt, humle, gær.

Editor’s note: initially brewed by Fanø in Denmark

Hazy gold pour with a 2 finger, bright white head. Aroma is spicy, peppery yeast, citrus, tart tree and stone fruit, light minerality and nice, sweet floral notes. Flavor starts off with spicy yeast, cereal, bready malt, grass, pepper doughy yeast, then lots of citrus and floral hops come in along with some spiciness toward the slightly bitter finish. Light to medium body with an oily but dry entry, dry finish and medium strength, sharp and blanketing carbonation that suit the beer very nicely. Really good. I usually end up wishing that most stronger Saisons were a little less so, but with the balance leaning more toward the hoppy side, and still having a solid, but not overbearing yeast presence I think this one is right where it needs to be.

Massive, puffy white head. Intense carbonation. Cloudy pineapple yellow color. As it dies down, an absolute sheet of thick, white lace protects the rim of the glass: possibly the most incredible lacing I’ve ever seen. Aroma is soapy, with touches of lemon and floor cleaner. A little horseblanket touch, but not overwhelming. The flavor is musty, with more of that Lemon Pledge flavor. (Not that I have a true basis for comparison here.) There is a leafy component, with some hay and maybe a touch of grape nuts? The finishing touch is a slight citrus/tangerine accent. The feel is creamy and smooth. This is a really enjoyable beer; full of flavor but middle of the road enough that you could pass it around.

Full body, with a hazy golden color. Malt sweetness offset by multidimensional Belgium yeast. Heavy for a saison, but very enjoyable.

Hazy golden color with a big thick white head. Nice aroma with yeast, citric and some spices. Medium body. Fine mix between sweetness and bitterness. Really fresh and easy drinkable. Soft to average carbonation. Balanced smooth and fresh flavor. Yeast, citrus, mild fruity and some spices. Lovely ale.

Bottle. Musty, lemon, pepper and malt aroma. Cloudy golden yellow with small head. Sweet musty lemon malt and lightly bitter herbal flavor. Body a bit light. Very pleasant.

Sample from growler. The beer is a slightly hazy golden color with a thick and fluffy white head that evaporates slowly. Partial rings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of citrus, yeast and malt. Medium-bodied with a funky yeast character and flavors of pithy citrus, toasted malt and earthy hops. The finish is fruity up front with an herbal yeast and hops aftertaste. Pretty good overall.

Bottle: Hazy yellow with a tall, smooth white head. Strong yeast and lemon scent. Crisp, malty, yeast flavours... Bright citrus... Nice grassy bitter.

33cl bottle at Schouskjelleren, Oslo (shared by Cunningham - thanks!). Slightly hazy golden with a lasting, white head. Deliciously fruity, yeasty aroma with the nice Belgian fruitiness and light spicyness. Moderate sweet with a rather dry, slightly sour bitterness. Surprisingly pleasant, and quite refreshing.

Draft. Lots of orange and citrus with a pepper note. Pour is a cloudy orange color with minimal head. Taste is slightly phenolic with a touch of band aid. Ok but but not grate.

Bottle thanks to Mark. Murky light gold color. Small white head. Clove in the nose. Very tart and then sweeter at the finish.

Bottle. Hazy gold with a white head. Yeast and clove aromas. Big hit of tart upfront and then finishes with sweet grain.
