COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
English: This stout looks like soft dookie and some will say it smells and tastes like it too. If you like a thick, creamy and utterly vanillalicious stout you’ll like this one. If you don’t, get yourself something else instead.

16.9 oz bottle poured into a brandy snifter. Fruity sweet notes start this one out; mostly tropical fruit strikes me - pineapple and mango - although there’s also some dark berry notes (I’m thinking strawberry maybe?). Chocolate is present as well with some vanilla. Digging a bit deeper some doughy and mildewy smells come through with raisin and alcohol. The dark red-brown (cola-esque) colored beer is topped by a dark tan soapy head which reduces to a thin film with some spotty, granular-like lacing along the glass on the way down. It’s a medium-heavy sweetness with some bitter, acidic notes. Within the mouth, it has a unique grainy feel coming from some ashy tones. The medium bodied beer is sticky and mostly flat. At the finish, there’s an earthy, dirt-like taste that seems to jump out of nowhere, but quickly gives way to a combination of ash, chocolate cake, and alcohol which coat the mouth fairly strong at first, but dissipates to a more mild coating fairly quickly. After awhile, the aftertaste turns to a dirt and ash combination - maybe a nice beer to enjoy with a good cigar?

Black with creamy mocha head. Aroma very roasty, espresso, bitter chocolate, ash, Taste sweet, creamy, chocolate at first, and then rich burnt toffee, roast, espresso beans, some smoke, some ash, soy sauce, and more bitter chocolate in the palate. Very nice.

Bottle as "Soft DK". Pours black with a lacing thick diminishing medium tan head. Aroma is milk chocolate, fudge, raisin, coffee, lots of vanilla, dark sugar, hard roasted malts and a subtle notes of spruce. Taste is heavy sweet, moderate bitter and very light acidic. Body is medium, texture is viscous, carbonation is moderate. Finishes sweet with vanilla, but bitter and ashy in the late finish.

Expense-account-blowout of a pickup here! A 16.9 oz bottle will put you back about $13, but hey, I’m incredibly wealthy and who gives a shit. Oh speaking of, what a dumbass name for ANY food product! Soft Shit, yep, that’s going to be a winner?!? Once you get past the name and turbidity, this is a real nice sipper. It has high vanilla notes and quite malty--some bourbon pervades throughout. Probably not worth the price of entry, but a nice and expensive random pickup from my favorite bottle shoppe.

Pours dark with a sticky and dissipating foam head. The aroma has vanilla, cocoa, toasted malts, and slight smoke malt character. In the flavor I noticed vanilla, chocolate, mild bitterness, dry malt complexity. The finish had a dry smoked malt favor, bitterness, cocoa, and a yeast taste. Overall the beverage stands tall but is not very drinkable.
