English: This stout looks like soft dookie and some will say it smells and tastes like it too. If you like a thick, creamy and utterly vanillalicious stout you’ll like this one. If you don’t, get yourself something else instead.

On tap at Jackie-Os, served in a sample glass. Smooth, light-brown (like chocolate milk) head. Fine, consistent specks of lace. Dark brown color. Dark chocolately and boozy nose-smell. Really great darker chocolate aroma, reminds me of Nesquik. Light carbonation, very smooth. Clear dark brown/red color. Bitter-sweet taste, a bit of the booze, kind of oddly perfumey. Really good, and... soft. Long and strong aftertaste. A great, aromatic sipper.

Out the bottle. Pours black with thin brown head. Sweet vanilla and coffee notes on the nose. A whole lotta coffee flavor. Some cola notes as well. Little bit of heat. Rich and creamy with a fair amount of carbonation. Reminds me of Vanilla Coke but with alcohol, which is f-ing awesome!

Bottle from Systembolaget Strømstad, Sweden. Black colour with a beige head. Mild and rich flavour with chocolate, vanilla and espresso. You do not need coffe and cake for dessert when you can have this. What a lovely beer. Nice and pleasant flavour. Mostly like the aroma.

UPDATED: APR 15, 2012 Bottle. An almost black one, topped by a dense, dark beige head of finger-thick size. Chocolate, roasted malts, some coffee and vanilla and even more chocolate in the aroma. The flavor has chocolate dominating, with roasted malts and some coffee. Warming, full-bodied and smooth, with a roasted finish. Sure a pleasant one. Rating: 7-4-7-4-15-3.7. 110930

Bottle. A finger-thick off-white head sits on top of a clear-looking next-to-black body. The aroma is super-smooth and mocca-ish, coffee, chocolate and a touch of hoppy bitterness. The flavor is dominated by mocha-ish flavors, quite smooth and mellow, with coffee. chocolate, roasted malts and some vanilla notes. Lasting finish with coffee, chocolate and some notes of bitterness. In my opinion, it’s too sweet, but it’s still a very nice and pleasant beer with lots of nice flavors. 120204

I was hoping for a blow my mind big Imperial Stout here but it’s not that. The flavors are nice but sometimes a tad but muted. Everything does meld together quite nicely though. Very sweet beer. Small amounts of roasted malt, vanilla, chocolate, dark fruits, and a tad hit of alcohol. Creamy and goes down nice. Overall a decent stout.

Poured black with a chocolatey brown head. Smells like a milk chocolate Hershey bar. The taste is coffee/smoke and surprisingly the chocolate is only a light note. To the detriment of the beer, it was a little too carbonated for a stout.

Bottle. Pours a nice jet black body with a creamy tan head. The nose is malty and rich with some coffee roast, bitter chocolate and cement notes. It drinks smooth, with little alcohol presence and a silky composed body. Lots of tannins and dry bitters that mix well with the dark rich malty base. As it warms you get a hint of alcohol but with more chocolate and roasty goodness. Really a solid beer that had a surprising hop profile.
