COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
English: This stout looks like soft dookie and some will say it smells and tastes like it too. If you like a thick, creamy and utterly vanillalicious stout you’ll like this one. If you don’t, get yourself something else instead.

You know, I did not expect to like this, but I was impressed. It was not as nutty as I expected. Pours a dark brown with a tan head. Nose is some roast, cocoa, chocolate, some dry dark fruit, and a slight dryness. Flavor is similar with a fair amount of chocolate and cocoa that mixes in with hints of vanilla. Medium body and a sweet, sipping treat.

Aroma: vanilla, licorice, crayons, alcohol, ashy, espresso. Appearance: oily black, beige head. Flavour: vanilla, alcohol, burnt espresso, acidic, big bitterness smoke, can’t find that much else. Mouthfeel: smooth. Total: this is a big beer, no doubt about it, but it has a quality to it that I don’t really get along with.

Bärig, lite godisaktig i doften. Tjock, bärig och lite rökig i smaken med en besk bärig eftersmak.

Finally getting some Evil Twin beer. On draft at Local Option in Chicago. Dark pour, very little head. Aroma full of chocolate, vanilla, malts and fudge. Flavor was soft and creamy on the palate. Sweet with a good amount of chocolate goodness coming through. A great beer to say the least.

UPDATED: JUL 18, 2012 Bottle. Black with a porous light brown head. Aroma: roasted, tobacco/ashes, licorice, coffee, and there is something else here that I can almost place, but right now I can’t pinpoint it, is it sweat? Taste: chocolate, salt, licorice, salmiak, coffee, vinous, fruity. Above medium-bodied, pretty smooth. Very unbalanced, but not bad.

Bottle from Liquor Loft. Black pour with a finger or so brown head. Aroma is a nice soft mix of roasty malts, coffee and chocolate. Tastes are coffee, chocolate, vanilla, dark fruits and caramel -- in the background there is a light berry sweetness. The texture is thin for an imp stout - but it works for this one - far more drinkable than it should be. Alcohol warmth lingers on. Finishes dry leaving the light sweetness behind. Great stuff. Really balances out the typical coffee/cocoa bitterness with the perfect level of sweet.

500ml bottle from grape & gourmet. pours a deep, dark brown with a thick, creamy, dark khaki head that has great retention and leaves a rich coat of lace. aroma is great with bold, rich, roasted malts, mocha iced coffee, baker’s chocolate, and burnt brownie crusts with hints of smoked nuts, molasses, and vanilla with a touch of dark fruit and licorice as it warms. flavor is an intense and excellent experience with huge roasted malts, charcoal, and massive burnt espresso beans backed by sweet toffee, cocoa, dry oatmeal, and tart berries with hints of vanilla and earth on the back end. palate is full bodied and creamy on the tongue with rich carbonation and a bold, bittersweet, roasted finish. overall, a great imperial stout.

Bottle shared at tasting. Dark brown pour with creamy beige head. Aroma is chocolate, coffee and toffee. Flavour has same aspects with vanilla and a bitter finish. Thick and oily mouthfeel with little carbonation. Good beer
