English: This stout looks like soft dookie and some will say it smells and tastes like it too. If you like a thick, creamy and utterly vanillalicious stout you’ll like this one. If you don’t, get yourself something else instead.

UPDATED: FEB 11, 2012 Dense black with coffee and roasted notes in nose, a lot of chocolate too. A big coffee and dark roasted flavor with vanilla and chocolate not far behind and a touch of smoke. Easy drinking for alcohol when chilled but still a dense stout. There is a soft cherry undertone and a very long lingering finish of roasted grains some coffee and hop bitterness and alcoholic sweetness. Very good.

Bottle 50cl. A completely black beer with a low brown creamy head. An aroma of roasted, burned malt, coffee, caramel and chocolate. The taste is medium sweet and light bitter. A full body, creamy texture, soft carbonation and a medium long finish.

From bottle shared at ’Natifest ’11 on August 6, 2011 (forgot who brought it but thanks!). Opaque brown color, light brown head, strong sweet malty nose with vanilla notes, smooth but firm sweet vanilla/malty flavor. Yes, something in the sensory experience of this beer does conjure up visions of a barnyard but thankfully not real dookie.

Poured pitch black with no head from the bomber. Smells of a soft combination of chocolate, vanilla, and anise over smoke and malts. The taste is of chocolate and vanilla with some dark fruits, ridden out with some malts. So smooth over the palate! Almost a pleasant creamy feeling, thanks to the vanilla finish.

500mL bottle, pours black with a light brown head. Aroma is chalky, with roasted malt and salt. Flavour is unusually salty (?!), with secondary traits of roasted malt and some vanilla. The salt kills it for me. Surprisingly subpar.

Abgangs durchaus schmeichelnd bitterschokoladig. Langer, starker Alkoholnachhall, der aber verzeihlich ist. Kleine Patzer - aber noch recht gut gelungen.Test vom 21.11.2010, Gebinde: Glasflasche

Sampled at an ESBLS tasting. Very dark and opaque. This has a big tan head and looks nice. A big nose of cocoa and anise. First sip is quite bitter and there are more hops than expected. Chocolate is dark and brings more bitterness. A key theme is that bitterness and it is almost overpowering. Alcohol is well hidden. I am not a fan of this one but it has lots going on.

Pours black into a snifter. Mocha rim recedes to hug rim leaving spot lacing. Dark pit fruit aromas. Chocolate and licorices upfront turning to a sweet thick caramel middle and a lasting dry vanilla and chocolate shake finish.
