UPDATED: SEP 16, 2015 New. Tap @ Mekong. Very dark with thin head and decent lacing. Smells like chocolate milk,.dark fruit, and a little boozy. Dry and not too heavy. Roasty and a little sour.
.Original 7/5/7/4/14 (3.7) from 11/12 Bottle. Back with ample light brown head. Smells toasty, choclatey, cherries- but not overwhelming. Reminds me of chocolate cherries. Nice dry finish.

4.7 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
Pours a deep, rich sable only a whisker or two above black with a thick, foamy, fine-bubbled light tan head that leaves some good lacing. Strong aroma is smoky with tones of semi-sweet chocolate, coffee, caramel and molasses - and, yes, there is a subtle vanilla note as well. Flavor has notes of roast coffee, chocolate, caramel, vanilla and molasses. Smooth texture has above-average body and a fair amount of fizz. This one’s a winner, so look for it!

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
500ml bottle (Soft DK) in a snifter. Pours black with a thick, lacy, tan head. Aroma of roasted malts, a little chocolate and coffee and vanilla, and some floral hops. The flavor is strong of the roasted notes, with hints of everything else, and a little alcohol. Thick. A good imperial stout.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
500mL bottle. Poured very deep brown with a dense, sticky dark tan head. The aroma picked up burnt ashy roast, dark chocolate, and coffee with hints of cherries and toffee.. I really enjoyed it. The flavor found warm, burnt black patent malts paired with lesser dark chocolate.. vanilla beans and a hint of cherries around.. peppery notes, smoked malts, and light ash on the back-end.. very tasty. Medium-plus bodied, dry, and very roasty on the palate.. could’ve used a touch more carbonation.. overall a great brew.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Pours a black color with a mediumsized beige-brown head. Aroma is roasted and burned with notes of coffee, liquorice, chocolate, charcoal, tar , some grassy hops and noticable alcohol. Flavour is burned with charcoal, tar, coffee and dark chocolate. There’s also some grassy hops and rather harsh, unbalanced bitterness. Some alcohol, which gets a bit too much for me, is notacible in the finish. Fullbodied with soft carbonation. Not my cup of imperial stout to be totally honest.

4.7 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 19/20
Jeppe, GRACIAS!

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
550ml Bottle: Aroma of malt, chocolate, cream, vanilla, and a hint of roasting. Poured very dark brown in color with a small, tan head that diminished but lasted throughout as a film on top of the beer. Opaque. Sparkling. Flavor is light to medium sweet and lightly bitter. Tastes of malt, chocolate, roasting, vanilla, slight wood, and light alcohol. Medium to full body. Tingly, then dry, slightly chalky texture. Average carbonation. Malt, chocolate, roast, vanilla, slight wood, finish is lightly sweet and light to medium bitter. 10.4%ABV is noticeable in the flavor but not hot or overwhelming.
