COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
English: This stout looks like soft dookie and some will say it smells and tastes like it too. If you like a thick, creamy and utterly vanillalicious stout you’ll like this one. If you don’t, get yourself something else instead.

On tap at Belmont Station. Pours dark brown with a decent tan head and a vanilla aroma. There is a bitter chocolate and vanilla flavor with a thick dry finish. A bit smoky too.

Black as night. Aroma has a lot of licorice and roast as well as some earthy/spicy hoppiness. A lot of chewy richness and some sticky resiny bitterness. A little bit of blackberry fruitiness - yeast seems fairly estery and there may be a bit of oatmeal in here as well. Soft palate and a little bit of lingering black pepper. Nice And quite unique in a category that I didn’t think could surprise me anymore.

Black pour with a big pillowy brown head. Looks nice. Aromas were similar to a melted candy bar, mild cocoa notes, vanilla, caramel, light roast and goodness. Mouthfeel was super creamy, light carbonation, big. Lots of chocolate, a vanilla like sweetness, light roasted malt, just a tinge of booze in the finish, barley noticeable. A damn good big stout. My first from the brewery.

Bottle. Poured a dark black color, with brown edges, and an averaged sized off white head. Aromas of coffee, cocoa, chocolate, roast, and some smokiness. Tastes of vanilla, chocolate, coffee, roast, dark fruits, and molasses.

16.9 oz bottle. Dark brown with a mottled tan head. Nose is coffee, hay and chocolate with hints of vanilla. Almost full body, silky then brash with a hot, bitter bite. Carb adds a slight tingle. Intense espresso and dark chocolate dialed up with grapefruit peel and molasses. Softens with warming but could use some time to meld and possibly allow the vanilla to emerge.

Bottle. Creamy lightbrown excellent fully lasting head. Black colour. Heavy malty and moderate hoppy aroma. Tons of chocolate and vanilla. Moderate bitter fantastic flavor. Strong vanilla notes overpowering some roast. Excellent. Long delicate finish. Creamy palate. World class and what an Imp. Stout should be.

16.9 oz bottle from Capone’s, Pours turbid onyx with 3-finger brown head. Nose is choc malt, vanilla, German chocolate cake. Tastes malty, on the sweet side, not a lot of hops, with figgy fruit, blackberry and port notes, a rich palate. This beer is thick and rich and the 10% ABV is well hidden. It comes off like a 33/33/33/ port wine/dry stout/dry blackberry/plum wine, and stays complex and dense on the palate. Overall, after warming, comes off like a younger brother of a 50/50 medley of Southern Tier Oat and the German chocolate cake one, whose name I sadly forget right now.

The aroma is vanilla, lifgt roast, coffee. The appearance is deep brown/black, tan head. The flavor is vanilla, coffee, brown sugar, awesome. The beer is medium in body, a little light for the style. the finish is roasted copffee, crea, pine hops. Very very good.

Keg at BrewDog Edinburgh. Black with a smallish brown head. Nose is slightly smoky, with lots of coffee and some chocolate. Taste is similar, but with a lovely smooth vanilla note that lightens the palate. Finish is very slightly boozy, but followed by a gorgeous cocoa/dark chocolate bitterness. A really well-balanced sipping beer.
