3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle at De Molen 2nd Tuesday tasting. Poured almost black with a thin tab head. Some vanilla in the aroma which is very present in the flavour along with liquorice and coffee. Nice to taste, but I found the alcohol a little overpowering.

Bottle @ 2nd tuesday tasting @ de Molen, hosted by dEnk. Black pour, foamy tan head. Aroma of roasted malts, chocolate, ripe fruits, vanilla, shoe polish and some spices. Flavor is bitter roasty, some breay yeast, somewhat salty and a bit rough. Very decent body, a bit out of balance. Nice brew.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
From Andrew Hilton growler into snifter. Midnight black, very thin tan head. Vanilla, alcohol dominate the nose. Some coffee. Explosion of flavor on the palate. Nice and thick! Vanilla, dark malt and alcohol. Complex, yet smooth. Overall: great beer, excellent flavors that blend well together. Easy to drink. Creamy texture. 081212

4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Fresh growler, shared at RBAG Summer Session 2012. Murky black body, light brown head. Aroma has elements of sweet (vanilla), roast (coffee, chocolate), and bitter (something stemmy veggie green). Sweet rich palate, lots of milk chocolate, molasses, vanilla, with a light bitterness in the finish. Delicious! I think Fred Durst summed it up best when he said "I did it all for the Dookie! Yeah! the Dookie! Yeah! the Dookie! Yeah!"

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
500 ml bottle from Randall’s. "Soft DK" on the label. Pours an opaque, inky midnight brown with a big chocolate-milk colored head made of fine bubbles that leaves a sheet of trailing lace in the glass. Aroma of dark chocolate, roasted malts, spicy hops, nuts, earth, and some ash. Flavor of bitter dark chocolate, earthy hops, rich roasted malts, nuts, and ash at the end. Full-bodied, with mellow carbonation and a smooth, rich, and surprisingly bitter mouthfeel. Good imperial stout.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Smells like dark chocolate, coffee and a touch of alcohol. Taste is pretty much the same.... as avertised. Theres a really nice creamy mouthfeel, with some tingly carbonation. Palate is the best part of this beer for sure. Great typical imperial stout.
