COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
English: This stout looks like soft dookie and some will say it smells and tastes like it too. If you like a thick, creamy and utterly vanillalicious stout you’ll like this one. If you don’t, get yourself something else instead.

7 chocolatey roast, a touch of burnt bitterness.
5- Black. Tight tan head.
7 Chocolatey again, but burnt and bitter too. Quite potent biting hoppy retronasals. Burntness dominates.
4 Full smooth palate, gentle carbonation. Very roasty dry burnt finish. As it warms it becomes slimier. 14 Solid stout. Burntness and bitterness a touch astringent after a while.

Richmond 16th. Black and oily. Dark chocolate aroma. Flavor matches. Alcohol clearly present. Surprisingly prickly carbonation. Sort of simple in some ways, very straightforward one note flavor, but it is a successful one note.

500 mL bottle from Grape & Gourmet (listed on the label as Soft DK). Pours black with a creamy brown head. Aroma of smoke, dark chocolate, vanilla, and faint roasted coffee. The taste is bitter dark chocolate with a slight vanilla finish. The vanilla gives way to a lingering smokiness. Creamy mouthfeel. If you can get past the name this one extraordinary beer.

olsvammel (4942) - Örebro, SWEDEN - NOV 5, 2011
Bottle from systembolaget. It poured a pitch black liquid with a brown head. Lots of dark malt and chocolate on the nose, also a bit sour. Similar taste with some liqourice. Would have loved a stronger smell, but besides that very nice.

Sampled at the the Sweet Sixteen Richmond Gathering. Black pour with brown head. I actually do see where they get the name for this. Vanilla max. Sweet roast max. Delicious imp stout. A little hot.

UPDATED: SEP 16, 2015 New. Tap @ Mekong. Very dark with thin head and decent lacing. Smells like chocolate milk,.dark fruit, and a little boozy. Dry and not too heavy. Roasty and a little sour. .Original 7/5/7/4/14 (3.7) from 11/12 Bottle. Back with ample light brown head. Smells toasty, choclatey, cherries- but not overwhelming. Reminds me of chocolate cherries. Nice dry finish.

Cybercat (4435) - Georgia, USA - OCT 31, 2011
Pours a deep, rich sable only a whisker or two above black with a thick, foamy, fine-bubbled light tan head that leaves some good lacing. Strong aroma is smoky with tones of semi-sweet chocolate, coffee, caramel and molasses - and, yes, there is a subtle vanilla note as well. Flavor has notes of roast coffee, chocolate, caramel, vanilla and molasses. Smooth texture has above-average body and a fair amount of fizz. This one’s a winner, so look for it!
