English: This stout looks like soft dookie and some will say it smells and tastes like it too. If you like a thick, creamy and utterly vanillalicious stout you’ll like this one. If you don’t, get yourself something else instead.

500 ml bottle courtesy of Doodler (thanks Scott!) poured a translucent dark brown nearly black with a lasting brown head. Aromas of coffee, vanilla, bitter chocolate, light roastiness and a hint of licorice. Palate was medium to full bodied and smooth. Flavors of milk chocolate, vanilla, light coffee and light roastiness with a smooth warming lingering milk chocolate finish.

Black with a big brown head. Aroma is roasted malt, coffee, vanilla and a little alcohol. Flavor is very sweet and rather bitter. Dry and bitter finish. Smooth and soft. The vanilla works well because it doesn’t dominate. Very nice. 310311

UPDATED: MAY 7, 2011 This one is thanks to Jeppe for not only brewing it but bringing it to our tasting...Pours light black, brown on the edges, with a light tan head that has good retention but light lacing...The aroma is awesome as it totally nails vanilla, just enough to get what the notes but not so much to overwhelm other flavors which are chocolate and coffee...The taste is equally impressive in terms of the vanilla which is subtle and throughout the whole taste. Nice bitter chocolate notes balance this vanilla. Really easy to drink and supremely enjoyable. A great stout worth tracking down.

Dark beige head over deep black beer. Very roasted/burnt; fatty roasts, and chocolat, suggesting bitter and sweet. Bitter chocolate³, like one of those archi-expensive bars of ultra-% chocolate. Bit of cigarette ash retronasal. Very slick, alcoholwarming, and well-bodied. All in all, a bit undimensional, neutral.
