3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 VsXsV (1225) - Linköping, - JUL 29, 2011UPDATED: AUG 30, 2012 Bottle. Black/dark brown liquid with medium tan head. Smells of coffee, licorice, chocolate, ash, bread and maybe a little hoppy. Some dark fruits as well. Quite burnt. Taste is also quite burnt with light sweetness and medium bitterness. Medium to full bodied with ok carbonation and long, lingering, burnt finish. Not boozy at all. Quite good but a bit too burnt. Would have preferred more coffee/chocolate.

Strange smell in this beer. The taste is much better and tastier. Maybe a little too bitter for being an Imperial Stout. Long and good aftertaste.

Has a nice roasted malt smell and flavor. A little hint of sweetness thats masked by the roasted malt flavor.

Bottle:   Black in color, moderate to large brownish head, foamy, with nice lacing.   Somewhat of a weird
hoppy nose.   Roasted malts are secondary.   Astringent roasted malts on the tongue.   Its a little difficult to
drink.   Very slight horse/cow pasture comes up once it warms.   Very acrid on the backside.   Its hoppy, roasty,
but this husk like astringency kills it.   Not a smooth Imperial Stout by any means.   Moderate to full body and
mouthfeel.   Finish is just this astringent an acrid roastiness thats hard to palate.   Not a great example of the
style.

Aroma of vanilla, licorice, coffee and vanilla extract. Pours black with slight white film. Tastes great and roasty with vanilla, anis and delicious mocha. A little too much vanilla but great.

Arome embourbée dans le carton ou je ne sais trop quoi. En bouche c’est beaucoup plus alléchant, caramel, vanille et mélasse.
