COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
English: This stout looks like soft dookie and some will say it smells and tastes like it too. If you like a thick, creamy and utterly vanillalicious stout you’ll like this one. If you don’t, get yourself something else instead.

Draft. A dark brown beer with a thin brown head. The aroma has strong notes of chocolate, strong spicy coffee, alcohol, and some roasted malt. The flavor has strong notes of dextrose, roasted malt, alcohol, and coffee, leading to a very dry and medium bitter finish. The mouthfeel is smooth, but the flavor is raw.

From tap at Ølbutikken. Pours pitch black with a creamy chocolate brown head. Aroma is hardroasted malt and vanilla, I do sense some coffee here too. Distinct vanilla, herbal bitterness and dry hoppy. Dry bitter and yet distinct fruity into a bone dry finish. Smooth and nice.

On tap. Courtesy of Jeppe. Pours an opaque black with a deliciously creamy light brown head leaving laces. There’s some hard roasted malt up there but a sweetish note of vanilla dominates. Surprisingly only feels medium-bodied, very soft and pleasant mouthfeel, hard roasted malts but dominated by a distinct touch of milk chocolate which apparently is the vanilla coming through. Vaguely ashy with a fairly malt bitter finish. I’m not a great fan of adding vanila to beers, but here it really works well, this a beer that really works with your palate as you go through it. Extremely well-balanced. 300610

Bottled@fonefan (bought at Kihoskh, Copenhagen). Pitch black colour, not much head, but the small thing there is, is brown. Aroma is coffee, chocolate, some roasted malts, mild liquorice and some slight notes of alcohol. Flavour is being very much similar with some slight vanillaish notes as well.

Bottled at Bishop’s Arms Folkungagatan, Stockholm. Black as night, rich firm beige head. Aroma of vanilla, cream and strawberries. Mid sweet with almost shockingly creamy mouthfeel. Feels so deceivingly mild that it’s unimaginable that it’s over 10%. A slow onvreeping flavour of vanilla, red berries, roastiness lies only as a backdrop. Light grainy bitterness. Very driankble and pleasant, an exciting new type of beer. After the first sense of awe I however come to realize that after the initial sensation there is not so much more to discover.

Draught at Ørsted, Copenhagen
Black color; something is strange with the tap, and it comes out with a huge brownish head, creamy. The aroma is soft, with roasted malt, vanilla and candlesticks; light cookies; very light dust and pepper too. The body is quite strong, but the mouthfeel is partially cut by the heavily roasted malts; very strong dark chocolate flavor, with light residual sugars, strong spicy character, light frankincense, and in the end some tar, roasted malt and a bit too much liquorice; strong bitterness. Original, powerful. But, what an unfortunate name...
