English: This stout looks like soft dookie and some will say it smells and tastes like it too. If you like a thick, creamy and utterly vanillalicious stout you’ll like this one. If you don’t, get yourself something else instead.

Very little smell. Dark, but still translucent. No head. Intense taste of burnt barley and smoke. In other words AWESOME taste! Thin and smokey in the mouth. All over: shockingly intense taste to be so odorless and thin. A very good beer, but not as good as I’m excpecting from mr. evil twin

Bottle labeled as "Soft DK". Pours a deep black with thin ring of tan brown head that leaves moderate lace. Aroma of big roast and dark chocolate over sweet vanilla hints. Taste follows, a bit of earth and tobacco and less of the vanilla until it heats up. Warming booze as it goes down, thick mouth, soft carbonation.

Bottle from Rays. Black pour with a brown head leaving nice lace. Aroma has molasses, caramel, some roast and some chocolate. No diaper ever smelled like that ... Taste is of sweet caramel, sweet molasses, roast, and cocoa. Medium to full bodied with some alcohol presence. Finishes fairly long and much more sweet than bitter, but with just enough bitterness to stop it from being cloying. More roast would have made this stellar. 14.4

EtTuCthulhu (1320) - Columbia, Missouri, USA - MAY 18, 2015
The beer pours a viscous reddish black color with a small tan head that fades quickly to a ring. The aroma blends coffee beans, dark chocolate, caramel and chocolate malts, booze, and a hint of vanilla. The taste is mildly bitter, mildly umami, and a touch sweet, and the major flavor is mocha, which lingers for a long-lasting aftertaste. The palate, unfortunately, has a thin texture and a medium body, which doesn’t quite match the flavor.

12 ounce bottle into snifter, bottled on 3/3/2015. Pours dense pitch black color with a 1 finger dense dark tan head with great retention, that reduces to a thin cap that lingers. Light spotty soapy lacing clings around the glass, with a moderate amount of streaming carbonation retaining the cap. Aromas of dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, molasses, vanilla, toffee, toast, dark bread, tobacco, raisin, plum, light wood smoke/char, and roasted earthiness. Damn nice aromas with good balance and complexity of dark/roast/bready malt and light-moderate dark fruit notes; with good strength. Taste of big dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, molasses, vanilla, toffee, toast, dark bread, tobacco, raisin, plum, light wood smoke/char, and roasted earthiness. Light-moderate roast/char bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, molasses, toast, dark bread, light smoke/char, and roasted earthiness on the finish for a while. Damn nice robustness, balance, and complexity of dark/roast/bready malt and light-moderate dark fruit flavors; with a great roasted bitterness/sweetness balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Light-medium carbonation and fairly full bodied; with a very smooth, creamy, and lightly chalky/bready mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with only a slight warmth lingering after the finish. Overall this is a damn nice imperial stout. All around great complexity, robustness, and balance of dark/roast/bready malt and light-moderate dark fruit flavors; and very smooth to sip on for the ABV. A very enjoyable offering.

Bottle from wine and cheese place. Pours black with a thin khaki head. Big roasted malts on the nose. I didn’t get the vanilla notes on the tongue at first but as the beer warmed they became more prominent. It’s surprisingly mild for such a big beer which makes it kind of dangerous. Finishes with a bit of hoppiness on the finish. Nice.

Bottle from Bruisin’ Ales. Aroma of dark fruit, cherry, some roasted grains! And licorice. Taste has all the same notes. Good balance between sweet and bitter.
