English: This stout looks like soft dookie and some will say it smells and tastes like it too. If you like a thick, creamy and utterly vanillalicious stout you’ll like this one. If you don’t, get yourself something else instead.

Pours black with sticky brown head. Aromas of vanilla, anise and molasses dominate; nose also has hints of bourbon, booze, a little roast, and raisins. Taste is vanilla bean, treacle, black licorice; boozy but not overwhelming. Mouthfeel is velvety AF and super-smooth. Delicious.

DAAIK; Bottle 500ml, drunk at The Bishops Arms. Labeled as Soft DK. Pours moderate, black with a creamy, lacing and lasting tan head. Nose is moderate to heavy, roasted malt, chocolate, coffe, moderate dried dark fruit, vanilla and alchol. Taste is heavy sweet and bitter, balanced with a lasting vanilla, chocolate, warming finish. Body is full, texture is thick, carbonation is soft. Big, bald, filling one..

Nera, densa, schiuma marroncina.

It seems like Evil Twin only makes polarizing Imperial Stouts. Huge behemoths where the booze practically screams at you or gentle giants that could fool you. Soft Dookie, or as my bottle reads "Soft DK," is one of the most approachable Imperial Stouts you’ll ever meet. The "Soft" part of the name is well-deserved. Black pour with a slow-rising pillowy brown head. Roasted malt and syrupy (chocolate, molasses) aromas. Flavor profile is more on the sweet side yet highly balanced. Licorice, chocolate, vanilla, cream, and molasses. A hint of coffee and more than a hint of booze in this 10.4% brew. It’s definitely rich and full-bodied, but it’s extremely easy-going for an unaged Imperial Stout. It’s sweet, yet it wouldn’t be confused for a Sweet Stout. Very nicely done.

Bottle from Whole Foods. Black, with a large foamy brown head and plenty of spotty lacing. Aroma of molasses, vanilla, roast, dark chocolate, and tar. Taste is ashy and boozy, and fairly sweet. Medium-full bodied and smooth.
