English: This stout looks like soft dookie and some will say it smells and tastes like it too. If you like a thick, creamy and utterly vanillalicious stout you’ll like this one. If you don’t, get yourself something else instead.

One bad mutha of an imperial stout, this Dookie is tha shizz. Black as night, thick and burly, Dookie may have a playful name, but she ain’t playin’. Dark chocolaty with pernicious roast, and a long semi-sweet finish. Creamy and thick with a deep alcoholic finish that is tamed by a lift of bittering hops on the tail. This one is a real treat. You’re not worthy.

Pours black as midnight, with a thin tan head. Aroma is chocolate and roasted malts with a hint of booze. Taste is cocoa chocolate with underlying coffee like roast flavor. Finishes with a bit of bitter hops. You can taste and feel the booze. Nice solid stout.

12 oz bottle as Soft DK. Pours black with a light brown head. Molasses and cocoa aromas, later anise. Cocoa, molasses, and roasty coffee flavor, hint of anise. Kind of a run-of-the-mill imperial stout; good, but nothing outstanding.

Bottle from Saveur-Biere.com - Color: deep clear dark black beer with no carbonation and small brown head. Smell: malt domination, caramel, sugar cane and alcohol notes as finish. Taste: good roasted malt taste with good equilibrium with hops. Lack of body and too much alcohol. Aftertaste: alcohol notes, roasted malt and caramel.

Une stout goûteuse et toute douce ...De la vanille effectivement et pas trop d’acidité. Agréable. Petite pointe sucrée en fond de bouche. Crémeuse aussi ...

On tap @Brewberry, a dark beer with good brown head, good retention and lace work. Nose is robust on dark malt, dark coffee, even light smoked notes. Aroma is on lactose, plum, dark coffee, medium creamy, licorice, resin, toasted caramel, quite sweet, long dark notes on aftertaste, too much lactose in that.

Pours dark brown with a tan head. The aroma has has molasses, anise, oatmeal smoothness, light chocolate and some apples. It has a medium / full body with a good amount of fairly soft carbonation. The flavor starts with heavy anise, bitter roast, molasses, cream and a good amount of sweetness. The finish had dark chocolate and a lot of anise & molasses. Good stout,

12 oz bottle, purchased at 7-11, Kittery. Color is pitch black with thin tan head that didn’t stay long. Aroma is very sugary, burnt malt, over extracted coffee and faded vanilla.

The body is much thinner for the imperial style. In fact I was wondering how this is over 10% yet feels so weak and watery, should not be this thin. The flavor shows bitter coffee beans, traces of vanilla, weak roast with a dry texture after the sip. Also an odd, out-of-place fruit flavor in the background. Very sweet and surgery with weak flavor and thin body. Not what I was expecting (or wanting), a rather huge disappointment.
