English: This stout looks like soft dookie and some will say it smells and tastes like it too. If you like a thick, creamy and utterly vanillalicious stout youíll like this one. If you donít, get yourself something else instead.

(bottle - 500 ml) Dark brown pour with a creamy looking tan head. Aroma is big with tons of flavors. Coffee, chocolate, malt and cream to name a few. Lots of chocolate and roasted malts in the beginning of the flavor. Very creamy body, possibly from oatmeal. A light vanilla and toffee sweetness comes up with the coffee bitterness at the end.

Bottle from Tanakaya. Pours a dark brown with some ruby highlights and big soapy tan head that dissipates. Nose is coffee, vanilla, cinnamon, alcohol and dark fruit with some chocolate present as well. Taste is more of the same, with some chilli pepper noticeable as well. Really great warming finish that lingers with a caramel-coated roastiness that lingers thoughout. Wonderful!

10 oz pour at Star Bar. This stuff is really dark, weíre talking opaque with a near brown head. Lacing is dense on the side of the goblet. The aroma is roasty and caramelized with notes of espresso, cacao, earth, molasses, and booze. The mouthfeel is pretty huge. This is a well done imperial stout. It hits all the notes: espresso, dark chocolate, a fair amount of residual sugar, warming palate, bittersweet and lingering finish.

Inky black pour with a thin fast-fading khaki head. Sumptuously thick aroma with dessert like tones of chocolate creme, vanilla, cake and just a whisper of cherry. Full body with just enough punchy carbonation to remind you itís a beer. A bit boozy on the front with a bittersweet dark cocoa flavor, then a touch of vanilla comes in with some generic dark roasted malts. Nowhere near as sweet as the aroma, but definitely is full, chocolaty and boozy.

Pours black with a minimal tan head. Coffee, vanilla, banana, treacle... brown sugar... thick but easy drinking... chocolate and dried fruit. Smooth and rich, but not cloying. Really good.

Pours jet black with a quick fading khaki/brown head but returns with a light swirl. Head retention is poor. AROMA: dark roasted malts, chocolate, vanilla, brown sugar, alcohol, clove, slight spice, smoke/char, soy sauce, molasses, herbal hops and very slight nuts. TASTE: vanilla, alcohol, smoke, soy sauce, caramel, chocolate, light coffee, hop bitterness, molasses, brown sugar, light spice, creamy, light nuttiness, dark roasted malts and cinnamon. AFTER TASTE:, vanilla, dark malts, bitter chocolate and soy sauce with a creamy smooth finish and a slight alcohol warmth in the chest.

Bottle at Hair of the Dog Bangkok. Pours black, smells of dark chocolate a bit of vanilla. Taste of chocolate, liquorice and a little bit if soy sauce. I was expecting it to be thicker. But for a 10% stout it was very drinkable. I'll drink it again. The

Keg at Brewdog Manchester. A black colour with a very thin tan head. Aroma of roasted malts, coffee, chocolate, vanilla, subtle smoke, some liquorice, maybe some raisin and soy sauce. Taste of roasted malts, coffee, soy sauce, molasses, cocoa, some vanilla, subtle alcohol, a little burnt toast and slight toffee. Medium bodied and soft carbonation. A dry, roasted bitterness with a nice toffee sweetness in the finish. Firstly itís a little thin to be a great imperial stout but itís perfectly balanced and hides the alcohol well with only a slight warming sensation. Good.

12 oz bottle. Drinking in 90* heat (great idea). Pours black, small tan head, little lacing. Aroma is vanilla, chocolate, leather. Flavor is heavy licorice, vanilla, boozy. Big body, lasting syrupy mouthfeel. A big olí imperial stout that isnít fuckiní around. Tasty and it knows it.

Bottle at home. Sweet and rich with a lot of vanilla. Coffee, chocolate, dark fruit and banana. This beer is pretty awesome. The Duke of Edinburgh needs Soft DK and chill.
