English: This stout looks like soft dookie and some will say it smells and tastes like it too. If you like a thick, creamy and utterly vanillalicious stout youíll like this one. If you donít, get yourself something else instead.

(bottle - 500 ml) Dark brown pour with a creamy looking tan head. Aroma is big with tons of flavors. Coffee, chocolate, malt and cream to name a few. Lots of chocolate and roasted malts in the beginning of the flavor. Very creamy body, possibly from oatmeal. A light vanilla and toffee sweetness comes up with the coffee bitterness at the end.

Bottle from wine and cheese place. Pours black with a thin khaki head. Big roasted malts on the nose. I didnít get the vanilla notes on the tongue at first but as the beer warmed they became more prominent. Itís surprisingly mild for such a big beer which makes it kind of dangerous. Finishes with a bit of hoppiness on the finish. Nice.

Bottle from Bruisiní Ales. Aroma of dark fruit, cherry, some roasted grains! And licorice. Taste has all the same notes. Good balance between sweet and bitter.

Bottle. Pours a fairly thick near black color with a smallish light brown head on there. Nose is very roasty and dry, and hints of very dark chocolate. Taste is also dry and roasty. Almost feels a little sandy...

Bottle. Black with a purple-brown head. Aroma impression is chocolate malt with a phenolic touch of pumice and metal, a small bit of fusel alcohol manifesting as solvent and strong red wine. Full bodied and rich with moderate sweetness and moderate but creeping bitterness, well-placed as it settles on the tongue after the sugar is washed away and not before. Malt is creamy and savory while alcohol is sharp, fumes being breathed in the finish. Before that thereís a nicely rich char-heavy / just-smoked maltiness in the mouth that is enjoyable, but itís the one part of this beer that does it for me. I want to like it, and I have liked some other Two Roads (Evil Twin) strong Porters and Stouts, but here it smells more and more like metal and nail polish and chlorine and alcohol. A fresh pour shows more of the chocolate-coffee-fruit-liqueur impression, but as it breathes in the glass again the metal and mineral and chemical character returns.

Aromas of raisins, black licorice, toffee, roasted malt, chocolate, and tar. Appears black with a thin brown foam. Taste is extremely dry with note of tar, beef jerky, roasted malt, dry bitter chocolate, earth, black licorice, raisin and subtle plum juice. Finishes absurdly dry with residual chocolate. Overall, very heavy imperial stout with a ton of dryness, roast and chocolate. Booze is definitely noticeable.

Bottle->snifter. Deep brown with big thick lite brown head. A: vanilla, chocolate malt, coffee, molasses. T: same, with some spice and metallic notes. Lingering bitter aftertaste. Ok.

Pours very dark with brown head that sticks around for a while and leaves good lacing. Aroma is dark roasted malts with milk chocolate undertones. Also vanilla, molasses, and Tootsie Roll. Taste is more roasted malts, a bit tangy, a little coffee, and a healthy amount of alcohol that warms noticeably going down. The palate is off - too thin. Admittedly, I am warn out by sticky sweet syrupy barrel aged stuff lately, and being lighter and thin makes this more drinkable... but the thin palate sticks distracts from the other things this beer has going for it.

Roasty with a touch of booze and some dark chocolate. Well balanced overall. Bitter finish. Black pour with God head and OK lacing. Thick consistency. Bitter end. Well balanced but not super interesting. Tap at Churchkey.
