UPDATED: APR 8, 2013 Bottle from Mane Liquor. Pours a healthy looking orange with a dense, beige head which lasts for the duration. Fantastic legs on it. Nose instantly shows the funk and it’s mix with citrus hoppage. Massive tropical fruits - mango, passionfruit, nectarine. It’s like a semi sweet semi sour fruit bowl. Amazing stuff. Quite a tarty kick on the first sip but as my palate gets used to it, it really opens up. Loads of citric and tropical hoppage. A touch grassy with a great balance of funk coming through. Very punch-bowl fruit driven - mango, nectarine, apricot, grapes. So juicy. Palate is slightly creamy with a lengthy sour grapefruit-like tang. Unbelievably good beer. Best I’ve had in a long time

UPDATED: JUN 23, 2012 Bottle at ACBF 2012. Clear golden - offwhite head. Fruity, nice bretty, barrel, minerals, light to medium hoppy, grassy, grapes, peppery, fruitiness from the wine barrels, spicy notes, grape fruits. Lovely (8/4/9/4/18).... ReRate: OK his isfucking fantsatic now..... a lot of brett....... LoveLoveLove it

Amazing beer. A very big surprise for me. Sour aromas. Kinda bitter with a grapy-sour taste.

15-OCT-2012, bottle @home, from Fish & Beer. Hazy orange with lasting almost white head. Surprising aroma with tangerine, grape fruit, brett, tartness, fruity hops. Taste the same. Very fruity - malt and hops, but also very wine-like except for the soft carbonation. Sour, long fruity and sour finish. Really a surprise. Expected an APA but this is a sour. Fantastic drink.

Bottle from Smith’s. Pours turbid orangy deep copper with 1-finger frothy off-white head. Nose is heavy ruby red grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, grapes. Tastes very tart, acidic, woody, heavy on the IBUS, and somewhat dry and black peppery. Achieves a grapefruit juicy, oaky flavor profile with the added malt that smooths out late. If this is an APA, then this is an APA on steroids, and a damned good one.

Bottle poured a clear gold with a smnall lingering off white head. Aromas of white wine, oak, lemon zest, straw, grapefruit and light grassiness. Palate was light bodied and crisp with a dry finish. Flavors of white wine, oak, straw, grapefruit and lemon zest with a crisp dry moderatly bitter lingering citrus finish.

Hazy amber beer, little off white head. Palate is soft and light and a little silky, mild fine carbonation. A really nice palate. Lovely tasty beer - mild citrus fruits, a little brett. Really nice fresh white wine grape and mild sourness. Mango, peach, orange, gooseberry and kiwi in latter half. Fabulous.

UPDATED: APR 29, 2013 Bottle from Mane Liquor. Pours an orange/amber with creamy lasting head. Sweet hoppy passionfruit/citrus aroma with acidic, sour notes. Almost zesty. Sour, medium bodied flavour with a moderate sweetness and really attractive bitterness. Thirsty for more! I dont know whats wrong with you people but this beer is fantastic. Get a fresh bottle or something because this is fantastic. Very nice funky flavors and great american hops which provide a bright citrus element to the funky richness of the belgian yeast. Really should be classified as a belgian ale and not an american pale ale. I think people are going in expecting something different. This is much more similar to orval or E then it is Alpha King or Daisy Cutter.

wow this is amazing. Aroma just like hill farmstead E., Great bretty flavor, amazing barrel flavor. Awesome!
