[10/11/13] Draught at Beer Temple in Amsterdam. Black with a nice thick tan head. Great roasty aroma with coffee, a bit of dark chocolate and some sourish berry notes. Sweetish flavor with dark chocolate, some coffee notes and a mild sourish touch with some dark fruits. Silky mouthfeel. Very smooth and pleasant, very easy-drinking for 8.2%.

2.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
26.09.2013, tap @ Beer Temple:
Nice creamy longlasting head. Aroma is slightly sweet, dark malts, licorice, coffee, caramel, dark sugar, cocoa, hay. Taste is kind of neutral and watery, dark malts, coffee, hay, cardboard, cocoa, burnt caramel. Medium bitterness, very thin body. Very boring, I’d rather call this "Calm before the hurricane".

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Tap @ Beer Temple, medium sample. Dark color, short head. Aroma of some roasted malts, coffee and chocolat, slight tartness, bit barnyard. In flavor the sourness comes through a bit more alongside the roastiness. Infection? Intended? I didn’t really like it. Body became a bit thin.

On tap at Ørsted Ølbar. Pours black with a large dark brown-ish head. I’ll keep the description short and just write what stands out in the taste. Chocolate!! The taste is really heavily dominated by chocolate. Surprising, but quite good at the end of the day. I would happily drink it again.
