AWISLguy (1423) - Wisconsin, USA - OCT 4, 2014
Bottle from Bottles and Cans. A very dark dark brown pour with a tan head Aroma has cocoa and caramel and molasses. Later down the glass, more of an espresso presence shows through. Sweet caramel, roast, chocolate, some molasses, with some earth and some anise. Medium to full bodied, with some roughness and some alcohol. Finishes in a nice blend between bitter (choc and espresso) and sweet (caramel). The bitter edges out. As ever with Evil Twin, beyond the cost per ounce, very solid, and excellent per style. 14.6

Fritz123 (1123) - Boca Raton, Florida, USA - MAR 24, 2014
Bottle from Luekens in Clearwater, FL. Poured into a pint glass. Jet black, oily pour with a very thin short-lived mocha head. No lacing. Powerful aroma of roasted malts, milk chocolate, cocoa nibs, vanilla, peat. The taste was also bold with cocoa nibs, vanilla, dough, peat, roasted goodness, and anise. Creamy mouth with a very full body. Finish is slightly sweet like a chocolate morsel. Virtually no carbonation. It was a very old bottle (not sure what year) so I don’t know if that was on design or due to some long cellaring.
