3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 17/20 flavio_b (263) - ROME, - MAY 19, 2012On tap @Macche. This is not my favourite kind of stout, but I can say, its taste is too much strong, as regard the coffee taste. It seems like it’s a watered coffee. Not the best beer of Evil Tween, but it’s because of my preferences. Good product for sure!

Bottle. Pours a near black color with a moderate frothy brown head. Nose is very light and nearly nonexistent - subtle hint of roasting, but very little else. Taste is roasty and just slightly bitter. OK, but not one of my more favorite stouts.

1.5 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 7/20 airrick2003 (171) - Louisiana, USA - FEB 18, 2013
Appearance: dark black, perhaps some deep red blood color when swirled around, tan and brown head
Aroma: chocolate, coffee, rich
Taste: chocolate, coffee, barely some hop bitterness on the end, a weird sourness finish too
Palate: kind of leaves the mouth dry,
Overall: not generally a fan of chocolate/coffee beers, it’s not what I want my beer tasting like if I can pick, not very complex, barely able to finish

500 ml bottle. BB ? From bierkompass.de.
Label says it’s brewed by Fanø Bryghus not Rækker Mølle Bryghus.
It’s so much to the US markets that there’s no BB date.
Pitch black colour with average to big dark tan head.
Sweet caramel. vanilla, sweet cappuccino, mildly roasted malt and cookies in aroma. Flavour is not as sweet but slightly tart. Roasted malt, chocolate and orange in flavour. Drinkable but not much more.

3.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 Lukaduke (1005) - Portland, Maine, USA - DEC 29, 2012
Pours a deep oily black umber color with a finger of mocha foam... on the nose there is a distinct balance between citrus and chocolate. Smells just like that orange balls of chocolate my mom got when i was a kid. The palate is a very interesting, not your usual profile of flavors but the results are pleasant. Big roasted dark chocolate malts on the front end and fresh citrus peaks through mid palate and takes the show as the beer finish with some juicy orange and a burnt chocolate lingering finish.
3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20 ClubGonzo (2689) - Bergen, NORWAY - DEC 27, 2012
Bottle, shared with BBGTC, Foffern and Gunnar. Pours a dark brown, near-black body with a small short-lasting head. Aroma is coffee, herbal orange-like soy tones, licorice, herbs and hints of dark chocolate. Taste is roasted coffee, sour-ish berry tones, grains, hints of herbs and sun-dried tomates. Very original and quite tasty. The drawback seems to be the carbonation level, which is next to nothing. Nice enough, but lacks a bit to be really, really good.
