Bottle. Dark brown with a medium sized beige slowly diminishing head. Caramel, wooden oxidized, sherry, dark dried fruits, light cocoa. Medium/full body, medium/heavy sweet and medium bitter. Good balance, no alcohol showing. Soft carbonation and soft on the palate. I had the Front Room recently, but I can’t pin point the differences without tasting them agains each other, but I really like this.

lusikka (5993) - Tampere, FINLAND - OCT 27, 2013
330 ml bottle.
Pours a dark brown colour with a small off-white head. Aroma of rich dark chocolate, port, oak and raisins. Rich flavour of toasted malts, dark chocolate, salty licorice, distinct heavy port notes, English toffee and grassy bitterness. Full bodied, oily mouthfeel and a long warming, sweet, rich finish. Pairs extremely well with kärtner rahmlaib cheese. A dessert at it’s finest.

olio (5896) - Tampere, FINLAND - OCT 12, 2013
33 cl bottle.
Pours deep dark mahogany color with a small head. Aroma of ripe fruits, sweet caramel malts, some toffee and chocolate notes with wood, faint vanilla and some vinous hints. Reminds me a bit of Dumle Liquorice, that’s a first and definitely not a bad thing.
Flavor is also a bit sweet with ripe fruits and caramel, some malts, lightly salty licorice and dark berries, wood, faint tar and syrup also. Very oily texture, soft carbonation, full bodied. Lingering smooth caramelly aftertaste. Very well balanced and tasty, alcohol is also well hidden. Simply excellent.
