Bottled. A hazy amber beer with a tan head. The aroma has notes of caramel, chocolate, and hops. The flavor is sweet with notes of alcohol, chocolate, and caramel, leading to a very bitter finish.

Bottle at Tørst. Pours a very dark ruby-brown with an imperceptible head. Smells richly of Port, molasses, and dates. Tastes very sweet, full of dark red berry, and follows with a pretty heavy bitter full-bodied plum finish, and a bit cardboard with a saturated palate.

UPDATED: FEB 23, 2014 28.06.2013, 0,33l bottle @ Tørst:
Nice brown mediumlasting head. Aroma is kind of neutral, slightly sour-ish, dark malts, licorice, coffee, dark sugar, alcohol, almond essence, oak. Taste is slightly sweet, dark malts, dark sugar, licorice, oak, burnt caramel, dark fruits, grass cocoa, cardboard. Medium bitterness, slightly dry mouthfeel. Nice, but it’s still miles away from the wonderful Front Room.

Bottle at Torst, 03/30/2013. Pours dark cola brown, slight haze on the surface, light lacing. Aroma has dark roasted malt, charred wood, light hop character, finish is toffee, dark fruity port, subtle tartness and even a little cheese, interesting. Taste is toffee, carame fudge, port notes, subtle funky edge, nice roast offset. Almost an aged, musty quality as well. Big bodied, smooth. Wow, very nice.

Bottle shared with the RB crew at Torst. Pours a pitch black body with no head. Aroma is wine and a touch fishy - a little strange. Mouthfeel is medium to full with notes of light oak, molasses, port, chocolate, booze and sweet caramel.
