Bottle @ S&B#2. Pours hazy dark brown with a tiny beige head. Aroma is heavy malty, caramel, raisin, chocolate, booze, bread, toasted malt, grain and wood. Taste is medium sweet and bitter. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. Finishes dry, malty and quite warming.

Cola brown, thin sickly bubble ring clings to the glass. Toasted marshmallows, very sweet, soya sauce shining through, and the aroma rounds off with the smell of the Safeway frozen juice freezer. Taste is mild for what this is, but still its a punch to the face. Prunes, soya, burnt sugar, almost but not a red wine. Sweetness builds but stays in control. Beer gets better and better the longer it sits. I drank this beer that is all.

small frothy offwhite head. fair lacing. fully diminishing. flat thick dark reddish-brown body. aroma: raisin, cherry, wood, ruby port, alcohol. if: heavy sweet light bitter. ff: heavy sweet moderate bitter; long duration. palate: medium full body, creamy texture, medium carbonation, metallic moderate alcoholic finish.

Dark mahogany with light ringed head. Rich dark berry and wooden nose. Firm, sticky nice sprite oxidisation and syrupy sweet and sunny towards the finish. Limey dark chocolate. Syrupy, tight and peppercorn crunch linger. Really nice, can’t be bad without a bit of age.

Bottle, Cheers BENNY BOY, November Tasting.

Final dulce y prolongado. Fruta madura y caramelizada en el retrogusto. Big beer but for those who well know Malaga Wine, it´s not as big as it seems to be. Since Barrel aged has made major part of this good job. 330ml bottle. Wine glass. Very dark brown color, dark amber tints to the light. Beige froth, brief crown. Aromas of raisin, toasted caramel malts, candies, ripe plums & dats, as well as matured wood on the back. Sweet toasted malt, Malaga Wine, intense raisin, sugar flavors & hints of molasses. Full body. Soft carbonation. Oily texture & silky palate. Low herbal bitterness in the middle is overwhelmed by intense Malaga flavor rounded by underlying licorice candy notes. No-cloying sugary flavor made from raisins, herbs & spices. ABV is well hidden & shown as a kind warming feel. Slight harsh astringency. Long sweet finish. Ripe & caramelized fruits on the aftertaste.

Bottle at Torst, 03/30/2013. Pours dark plum brown, little head with large bubbles floating on the surface. Aroma of roasted dark chocolate, caramel candy, musty malty sweetness, wood. Taste is sweet, chocolate coffee, light roast bitterness, vanilla, sweet barrel notes. Full bodied and smooth, alcohol not noticeable. Very nice, darker and more straightforward than the Back Room, still delicious.

Bottle to tulip Port, Grand Marnier, brandy, soy, toffee, a hint of chocolate, coffee, and currants. Silky and slick black, practically no head. The taste is like I’m sucking on the cheesecloth that has just been pulled off a fruitcake. There’s a little chocolate there, but the rest is rum and dark fruits.

Excellent in all respects, fruity with prunes/dates/raisins to the fore. The alcohol is very even and balanced.
