This has a light hop aroma. The flavor is right in terms of bitterness for a pale ale, though it has a fairly dry finish. Okay but nothing special.

Bottle at chriso vintage tasting. Pours lightly hazy yellow-gold with a soft, white foam head. Some white bread in the nose with hay hops. Light to medium sweet flavor, some fine moderately bitter hay and toasty grass. Light bodied with average carbonation. Dries out a bit to finish, some pale malt, white bread, straw. Decent.

Bottle @ chriso. Pours a golden color with a longlasting off-white head. Has a fruity malty hoppy grapefruit aroma. Fruity malty hoppy bitter flavor with peachy citrus hints. Has a fruity malty hoppy bitter peachy finish.

Hazy amber beer with a good pale cream coloured head. Palate is crispy. Lots of minerals. Fairly grainy malt, a little raw. Hops are fresh yellow grapefruit with a trace of orange citrus. Semi dry and crisp finish. Mild bitter linger.

33cl Bottle. Cloudy deep orange color, white too big head: it was unstoppable, a bottling issue for sure. Evil Twin (and de molen also) must improve this aspect of its line; not the first time i run into it. Anyway... lemony, grassy aroma with some herbal, onion notes, quite weak or not so strong as you expect it. On the palate the TH results a lot bitter but not very aromatic. long bitter finish. Quite carbonated, medium sticky mouth-feel. If you think at its style, the hops alpha acid is correct, but it seemed to me very unbalanced anyhow, tending to be almost an IPA. It’s not easy to brew pale ale in the IPA’s age, and the alpha king should be considered the exception, not a reference.
