3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 Butters (3318) - Richmond, Virginia, USA - APR 13, 2013
Sampled at Slutfest 4 - Sexytime! Dull brown clear pour with. Malty caramel and toast, but with a burnt finish. Didn’t dig it too much. The name fit the festival, but the beer wasn’t too great
3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 ej (326) - Hauglandshella, NORWAY - MAR 31, 2013
Brown pour, small tan head. Aroma of liquified toffee and caramel sauce. Taste is malty with caramel in abundance. Relatively low bitterness but, very well balanced. Light hints of roast and biscuits. Medium to medium-light body with medium to soft carbonation.
3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 ClubGonzo (2687) - Bergen, NORWAY - MAR 31, 2013
Bottle, shared with Bergen Beer Geek Tasting Crew. Pours a deep brown body with a small off-white head. Nose is deep toffee, dark fruits and caramel tones and not much else. But when the aroma is this good, who’s complaining? :-) Taste is caramel, licorice, grains, toasted bread and hints of nuts. Not at all as sweet as expected, with a dry finish with aniseed and licorice. Perhaps the aroma left me longing for a bit more taste, but it’s nice enough. Medium body and carbonation. Good one.

Tasted from the bottle, in July 2012.
Enormous head of foam, absolutely black color - almost a stout look!
Aroma is mild and pleasant.
Taste is of s weird porter - coffee, citrus notes, well hoppy bitter and full bodied.
