COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Editor’s note: new and reworked edition, new label, new hop bill and new gourmet coffee from the Coffee Collective.

This is truly a beautiful brown ale boosted with a delightful aroma of citrus, spice and gourmet Keini, Kenya Beans from The Coffee Collective, Copenhagen – the result is amazing, lusty and incoherent – yes, it’s your wildest desires in a bottle. Close your eyes and let the drops do the talking. Enjoy y’all.

UXO (184) - CANADA - AUG 28, 2014
Pours a deep cola red with two fingers of loose tan head diminishing rapidly to a thin skim, moderate lacing. Nose is roasted nutty malt, coffee, light pine resin and citrus, hints of chocolate. Taste follows suit, with a bitter finish. Medium body with low carbonation and a creamy mouth feel. Not a bad brown ale at all. Nearly a coffee porter or stout with the darkness of the malt, but with a somewhat lighter body. I’m not sure how old this bottle was (come on folks, is it that hard to put a damn bottling date on the label?) but I have a suspicion that the hops were a little muted with age - I’d like to try this fresh or on tap and see if there’s a bit more hop presence.

mcberko (6311) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - FEB 21, 2014
Bottle, pours a dark amber brown with a small beige head. Aroma brings out old hops, bready malt, and some light toffee - weird stuff. Flavour brings out fairly astringent hops, bready malt, and some oxidation. Seems off - not very interesting.

ClubGonzo (3995) - Bergen, NORWAY - FEB 20, 2014
On tap @ Henrik, Bergen. Deep brown, near-black body with a large creamy off-white head. Nose is brown malts, grainy cereal tones, chocolate and hints of dark chocolate. Taste is roasted grains, strong espresso, dark chocolate and hints of ashes and bitter herbs. Medium to light body, medium carbonation. A bit heavy on the espresso factor compared to the overall body and taste profile, but pretty nice nevertheless.
